Changing trackers list on torrent properties

I heard about a method consiting on adding more trackers in the torrent properties in order to speed up torrents with low seeders number

or it could help by seeding a torrent that is not downloaded on the same tracker

Yes, for example, the procedure being for public torrents *only*.

It (hopefully) speeds them up by looking for more peers on all those trackers. Note some of them are dead, and therefore just filler. Also this means more bandwidth is used to contact them.

No, it isn't. Even if the release is the same, the .torrents' info_hash will be different.

If the tracker supports it, you can ask for a reseed.
