This is one of the most absurd requests that Wikileaks must have on thier website.
For an outside party to request the name of a person who, having ethical standards, reports a document to Wikileaks to be published on thier webiste.
Check it out:
The posting of this document violates the privacy of Stream's
employees as well as the confidentiality of Stream's internal
information.
Alternatively, if you are unable or unwilling to remove the document
from the site, I would ask that you let me know who posted it so
that I can direct my reque st to that person.
This is what wikileaks says on thier 'About Wikileaks' website.
...........Whistleblowers can submit documents anonymously and untraceably. .....Wikileaks incorporates advanced cryptographic technologies to ensure anonymity and untraceability. Those who provide leaked information may face severe risks, whether of political repercussions, legal sanctions or physical violence. Accordingly, sophisticated cryptographic and postal techniques are used to minimize the risks that anonymous sources face..
Anyways....here's the link to the above letter from a lawyer to Wikileaks. It's just a short letter to them.
Oh, and by-the-way....don't forget to read this on the bottom of the email request:
This e-mail may contain confidential and/or privileged information.
If you are not the intended recipient (or have received this e-mail
in error) please notify the sender immediately and destroy this
e-mail. Any unauthorized copying, disclosure or distribution of
the material in this e-mail is strictly forbidden.
See....Wikileaks doesn't give a damn about this.
They publish material like this cuz initially it was someone of ethical standards to have unethical content from an organization to be published as they felt that it was in the public's best interest to know so.
