Anti-Pirate Bay Site In Pirate T-Shirt Failure

A disgruntled artist (or maybe an international coalition) has set up a clone Pirate Bay site selling anti-Pirate Bay T-shirts. While it looks like The Pirate Bay, the site is much less useful than the original and doesn’t have any torrents. What it does have though, is a sense of fun, humor and irony - all topped off with a truckload of fail.

Hehe, I sent them an email saying their search feature didn't work, making fun of them, saying I couldn't search for torrents and would use ThePirateBay until they had fixed it - no reply yet :/

Look at the TF comments. This may be wishful thinking but I doubt the site is going to last long.

    Thumbs down

The artist’s anti-piracy plan with a message is so simple, it’s brilliant. Infringe on Pirate Bay’s copyrights by using TPB artwork, logos and graphics to make their own T-shirts carrying anti-Pirate Bay messages.
brilliant?? what a joke, they never heard of kopimi ?

this pretty hypocritical operation has a spokesman, well-known Ireland-based music industry publicist
need i say more, obvious elements emerging
also there's more nonsense statements like tpb = common thieves, even though anyone informed enough knows there is no theft involved and so on...

Yeh LOL, theft implies that the original was removed. Filesharing involves the duplication; I don't think anti-copyright groups know the difference.

The thing is, even if you paid for say a CD, in the UK, where I live, it's illegal to duplicate CD's; so I can't rip songs to play on my iPod. This is the result of Brown's crumbling government, for any of you politics wise people out there.

hehe, i think they know it perfectly and use it to misinform those unaware of the difference - because anyone will say: thieves? thats not good, it must be stopped!
    just PR/propaganda tricks :fail:

I'm afraid to say it's still illegal. Ofcourse they can't actually enforce this law, the police aren't prepared to raid virtually every home with a teenager (or other techonological savvy minded person) in it, so why it should even exist is beyond me. More proof that as long as Gordon Brown is prime minister of the UK, UK will always be under an authoritarian state.

looks like this G. Brown character was the 'treasury minister' while prime minister Blair was in charge and at the time closely connected to Alan Greenspan (US head of federal reserves) using the same financial policy as his american counterpart (the man is supposed to be the main culprit for producing this economic crisis in the usa) - now Brown is the prime minister of UK and afaik economy/finances aren't blooming at all - on the contrary, and he is still spending money like crazy (Obama even more ) - certainly a very wrong move during dangerous times, the people of UK should have dumped him in prison where he belongs
