    The True-HD 720p XviD Blu-Ray Rips

Back in November we reported that the new Blu-Ray rips (BRRip and BDRip) are in Hi-Def (HD). In fact, most of these are in 720×304 (or similar resolution), which indeed qualifies them as superior to those regular 700 MB XviD codec releases - albeit they are still standard definition. However, there’s at least one P2P release group that produces XviD (*.avi) BRRips in true 720p HD resolution - beautiful picture quality and AC3 6-channel audio that will play back on some DivX/XviD compatible standalone DVD players, as well as PS3s & XBOX360s.

"NPW" is an internal P2P group of RevolutionTT.net responsible for these next-generation XviDHD BRRips. While some of NPW’s rips can also be found at IPTorrents, most reside at RevoTT - and TL does not even carry them.

Its no problem,i tried and ripped few Blue ray movies with no problem and excellent quality with AC3 6 channel sound and resolution i wont at size of approximately 2,3 GB,i wonder my self why they rip at low Res when they could get more at same size and lose on quality isn't even noticeable,i could go even lower size of rips with no prob

when ripping from Blu-ray you can get any lower size video you want - only the resulting quality will vary depending on the options you choose or how skilled you are

    considering scene releases you get:
    - stripped/full HD video 15-40+ GB
    - ripped video around 8GB (DVD9 size)
    - ripped video around 4GB (DVD5 size)
    - ripped video around 0,7-1,4GB (1-2 CD size)
    - afaik there are still no formal rules about specific HD rip sizes, so you can expect them to vary somewhat

imo the reason is because these releases come out slightly before dvdrips so they are meant to take dvdrip's place (considering size too)
