It was dying, until everyone decided to make their own streaming service, with blackjack and hookers... having to pay $100 a month or more for all the subscriptions that give legal access to content caused a rebound effect, unsurprisingly.

With that said, it remains to be seen how the community will route around the gap left by FL's closure, and what will become of their in-house encoders.

I hope not . I think with software like PLEX and Jellyfin are helping people take a look to torrenting again.

In my case, I cancel all streaming subscriptions and use PLEX Media Server. I can watch movies and TV shows in 4K or HD without any restrictions on TV or any internet device.

running a server by yourself ain't easy in any way. Lots of expenses and technical knowhow is needed in order for it to work.... If i had a choice of hosting my own server or just subscribing to netflix... i hate to say it but i'm subscribing to netflix

They are not shutting down. Latest announcement says that.

It all depends on what you have and want to do, but it can be as easy as cloning a Docker container and hitting start. For many, that's good enough, and in this age of FiOS and symmetrical connections can be done right at home.

I started to join PTs from opensignup subreddit a while ago.. Right now I have >10 ratio on TL,IPT and Cinemaz with 2+TB upload on TL and 1TB upload on IPT,Cinemaz. How can I join FL and PTP from here? Someone guide me plz.

Unfortunately, you're about to find out that while very good in their own right, the accounts you have right now are dead ends when it comes to getting you any "better" ones. 1 post is enough to read the first page of this thread, though!

I have a question regarding Pter club. Do they have specific time when they open invite system? I had tried both FL official recruitment and BitHDTV both didn't responded. Not only for me but some one also posted in forum about not responding to the PM.
