:( after months of resisting the temptation ive just got myself banned from what.cd (where i had a very nice ratio in any case) - gutted.......... :(

using the new 1.81, u torrent, a very low speed (around 10k), and a torrent that had a high number of leechers and a large amount of data being transferred (the safest one on there in my opinion.. the what toolbox torrent has very few active leechers if you look at it) - anyway.. thought it was going well but got banned within seconds of the first update. :(

ive used rm on a few sites and never been detected and cant see any problem with my settings.. unfortunately my first ever banning is on the one site i actually give a shit about... i feel very very silly.

note to other what users - dont try it if you value your account.

(oh and a polite request / plea.. if ANYONE here has any spare invites to what, please, please PM me.... im missing it already. i will never even think of cheating on there ever again. :( im moving to a different country in a few weeks and can guarentee to anyone who can help me out that i will never use the account to cheat a single byte and there is 0% chance of it being flagged as dupe account (as ill be in a different country with a new IP address)

It's sad that you got banned, but there are a lot of possibilities. I have been faking at 90-100kB/s on the Toolbox for the last days, and I'm still alive.

i used the "utorrent_1.8.2_build_14458_whatcd" file with the corresponding utorrent build and rm 1.81. i was on the logic studio torrent (for all of 20 minutes!) which had a few leechers downloading at 1mb/s plus. figured itd be fine for a test run. the banning happened so soon after the first stats upload id suggest it would have to have been a script kicking in rather than someone observing suspicious behaviour on the torrent.

you should watch the toolbox torrent incidentally. some of those leechers are partial seeders i think. only a few of them seem to be actively downloading anything.

i blame my own curiosity - i always said id never cheat on there and otherwise i was actually a model member - i upped a lot of torrents, a few of which i was actually keeping alive as the sole seeder. i actually wasnt that far from elite.. a dark, dark day

so yes, if anyone has an invite....... i can get my gf in [insert name of scandinavian country here] to register an account for me over there and i can hopefully get back on there at some point. and definitely no more cheating for me on there. a lesson learned i think.

Yes, I thought so too, but the torrent seems to be very good for faking. I have successfully done a few GBs on it for the last days...

yes, sorry. i have 14458 running already so it made sense to use a "fake" 14458 as well. i did use the memory reader though, yes.

since the speed randomiser only changes every time it uploads stats to the tracker it only used the speed i set initially, which was about 12.5kps or thereabouts.. the only thing im unsure about was whether to have the "scrape info from tracker" on or off (i went for on.. perhaps i shouldnt have? )

Yes, I think so. The RM can still know the total amount of seeders and leechers on the torrent without scrape enabled, but there have been ban reports with it turned on.

No its ur fault u shouldn't choose a pack cause not all lechers downloading any thing they download a part from pack not all of it so tracker show them as lechers not seeders .

there are quite a few threads on this and other forums that tell people to avoid the rosetta stone torrent like the plague. think about it, no-one wants to learn EVERY language - they want to learn one or a perhaps a few at the most.. which is why there are so many partial seeders who show as leechers.

know how you feel though.. i really missed not being able to get on there this morning...
