    Gigabyte GA-EX58-EXTREME

With the recession fully in play, businesses have had to tone down their optimistic forecasts for revenue and profit for the next year or more. The problem with a recession where companies are failing, businesses are laying off more people than any time in history and banks are failing, the sales possibilities of a highly-priced new product are less than if there was no recession.

Intel's X58 chipset has been at the forefront of motherboards in the past month or so due to the release of Intel's new Core i7 CPU which introduces a new CPU interface, a new motherboard chipset and triple-channel memory interface which brings new memory bandwidth into the equation for the newest and greatest from Intel. The Core i7 launch has re-energized a market that has been stuck in LGA-775 hell for the last four years.

Gigabyte has built motherboards, video cards and other computer accessories for several years now including the EP45 Extreme and many others based upon every motherboard chipset on the market today. They have announced several motherboards based upon the X58 chipset, as time goes on new boards will likely be released with more features and performance. Today I'm reviewing the Gigabyte EX58-Extreme motherboard, Gigabyte's flagship motherboard for the X58 chipset.Review

I personnally like the fact that the capacitors are made in Japan. Japanese are known for very good quality. Not just cars, computer equipment too.
    "God, from the mount Sinai
    whose grey top shall tremble,
    He descending, will Himself,
in thunder, lightning, and loud trumpet’s sound,
    ordain them laws".

    Oh, oh. Better use LINUX.
