there is no better mod.The 3 mods are really good but you have to try yourself to choose.My favorite one is SBI because I want maximum security and he is very simple and light.XdP is very light too but with a little less security(no hash change) but more options some are very useful other not(in my opinion).Pre-mod is based on Mephisto so you can do a lot of tweak(for design) for example) and have also some exclusive features.It is the most configurable one.
So you just have to try on yourself and it depends on what your looking for

Are you disappointed because you have a lot of mods to choose from? I think rom08 has said everything that needs to be said.

I personally use the SBI-Leecher mods to download, because it's lightweight and fast, and ZZ-RS to share files - an awesome, powerful releaser mod.

What I like about XdP is that it can work very good both as a leecher and uploader - so the potential is there, but you have the final decision of what you're going to do with it.

And the latest PrE (1.5) has abandoned the NeoMule codebase to switch over Mephisto, which is extremely tweakable and customizable, and has the advantage of that you can still yield optimal results if you don't know what the advanced settings do, and therefore leave them as is.

just to give you my experience :

I did tests with XdP- EdiTioN v4.0 and SBI 1.8 :

with the same file, exactly in the same condition, XdP find many more sources and more quickly

and with same tests files (300Mb, sources >500) XdP took half the time to download than SBI

There is no best mod. The best mod is the one who runs better on own pc or the one who you prefer. Also leecher mods behaviuor depends a lot on base code, emule original or other mod that is.

your problem is due to a setting you changed in your options putting less than 9 or more than 100 (causa that option has a ddx control on value). The fastest way is to delete preferences.ini in your emule config folder and setting again the whole thing. Or you can open preferences.ini and try to find the option you changed in the wrong way.
