    Having to stop RF is only an inconvenience.

    I say that even in my tutorial in the Disadvantage Section.

    Just having to stop the thing is really no big deal. It's common for people to stop and start thier client. I've seen it lot's of times in uT. I'm sure you have too.

    Thiers tonnes of reasons why this happens:

    a computer update has occured and so it was necessary to stop other software actions;

    software was downloaded and it was prudent to stop all other traffic so that other downloads take precedence;

    computer restart;
    etc..etc...

    It's no big deal. Only an inconvenience.

    Seriously....how much time does it take for you to move your mouse from one button to another and then back again after having made adjustments?...
    ...2-3 secs??

    What SealLion means is that the changes are not well recorded?

    Maybe himself can answer this xD

    Since this discussion is here about RF now, rather than GT which is what I intended this thread-tutorial to be about (RF has it's own discussion thread and I don't like having the 2 mixed together as they are 2 completely different tools that each deserve separate discussions) , I'll answer this here, then

    When I say what you've quoted above, anon is correct: On the tracker side.

    you need to:
    stop
    Make adjustments.
    Restart

    If you don't...as I 've plainly made mention in the other post in the other thread
    which by rights should be discussed there, not here as this tutorial is about a different tool, in my own personal experience, you'll have different recordings of ratio on the tracker side.

    It's invariably impossible to have incorrect ratio recordings within the tool. Not unless there's some Houdini magic going on.

    are these tools still relevant although this thread is so old? I assume the tool "ratio ghost" is the same idea as these here?

    It seems like most people have moved to more advanced methods/tools right? (im going through the list of tutorials and havent got to ratiomaster and the others yet..)

    The last post is 10 years old. You have to use latest releases to be safe.

    I've never used Ratio Ghost myself, but it seems to follow the same principle as GreedyTorrent, and thus share the same weakness: the inability to work on HTTPS and UDP trackers, which are enforced by most private trackers and some semi-private ones respectively.
