    Convert FAT32 to NTFS

If you want to convert FAT32 to NTFS , you can do and your data won't lose

    1. Go to RUN dialog box and type cmd .

    2. Type convert drive: /fs:ntfs

    3. Reboot your computer .

I'm not sure in Vista , but you can in XP

hey zat did u try that tweak urself before ?? coz I think that procedure would completely ruin down ur drivers & all ur data might be lost !! as Dagon mentioned, that act should be on safe mode using any partition manager application

yep, tried it and works just find..if you are unsure, you can experiment with VMWARE.that's the safest way to test your system out with a program that you are trying out..

well, then I would like to test it myself coz u know the best way to change ur file system is on safe mode since it is the safest way to set system configurations while in Bios setup

i have converted my sys partition with no probs plus i don't think the mode windows has been booted on matters, the convertion program is run next reboot just before windows starts (at least when converting drive C:)

but of course you're right about the data loss should you for example have a power blackout as the drive's converted (those are the kinds of things why i don't flash my bios... )
