Superman 2025.

There's no official trailer out yet. But I noticed the first look of James Gunn's Superman on X and thought of making a discussion thread here.

Storyline: -

Follows the titular superhero as he reconciles his heritage with his human upbringing. He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way in a world that views this as old-fashioned.

Written and directed by James Gunn, Superman is the first movie in Warner Bros.' rebooted DC Universe to center around the titular comic book hero.

I personally enjoyed the Superman/Batman saga up to his rebirth in Justice League. (By the way I preferred the Zack Snyder's Justice League than the other).

What do ya'll think? Would it be worth the watch?

This was good, thanks. Movie might be good too, if they don't portray Superman as an angsty emo to make him more "interesting".

Superman was my favorite superhero when I was a child, I even had a "Man of Steel" pencil case. After all, he never tells lies and always does the right thing

He claims to view Superman as a threat to humanity, but some say his true motivation is jealousy of Superman's popularity and influence.

I personally love learning more about superhero lore/story/info etc. After watching a movie or tv series I like I love to read more about them the next few days to fill in all the gaps in my imagination.

Interesting, that article had a lot of backstory I was unaware of, since I'm not a comic book buff. Ultimately, though, I don't care for revenge or popularity so maybe it's just difficult for me to understand that mindset (which was apparently molded by his background and circumstances).
