Like a movie damn. I played all parts if this game to keep up with the story of those before people creatures. But It's too long and messy. However, it's good game none the less and this one seems to has multiple options like Black Flag (Best one so far). I have no time to play anymore, but we will see

Honestly I think they should just drop AC title. I just can't imagine a viking being an assassin. Even previous game, Odyssey didn't feel like an AC game. You are literally a mercenarie for hire.

I think it's gonna be an awesome game, but I agree; They're only using the AC title at this point to sell. It's not really related to AC anymore.
Vikings are raiders, whereever they come, they come with rage, loud noises and fire.

Vikings and stealth? Good luck with that lol. As others have mentioned I also don't think these last installments are AC anymore. Best in the series for me are the 1s and the whole Ezio Trilogy, rest is a dispensable mess of bugs and shallow story. Now where's that AC in feudal japan everyone's expecting for some time?

High-speed Internet access made it easier to push day zero patches and dilute the line between DLC and expansion packs, but I think ultimately this happened because we let it, by not showing (enough) opposition.

The picture anon posted describes the situation accurately. From a financial-standpoint, the game industry is booming. People are willing to pay, which is why game companies follow the micro-transactions model. On top of this, we now have what is called "gaming" items, like chairs, desks, eye glasses, backpacks, rugs, computer components, networking equipment .. all market under the name "gaming". Snake-oil equipment that is said to "improve gaming".

    Don't forget these.

As for microtransactions, lootboxes and psychological profiling, I can understand why they became a thing. They're addictive and effective (profit-wise) to the point that if a game doesn't have them, it's going to be at a disadvantage against the rest. Does not by any means excuse their usage, of course.
