Seeking Guidance
Former BD25.eu uploader/spotter. I've out of the scene for a while. Things have changed a lot. Been using nzbgeek but I'm seeking something more focused on Full UHD. I'm sure there's no alternative to BD25 as I've read. But anything better than nzbgeek would be appreciated.
Filter threads tagged "usenet" and "open signups" in this section and subscribe to all of them, that should help you get started. Also keep an eye on /r/usenet.

I am in the same boat. You can still download the BD25 dump, but there is nothing too new beyond it.
I am myself trying to upgrade a huge library, and the dump helped a lot, give it a try.
usenet-4all seems to be very remux/br-disk friendly, but there is no way to join anymore.
If you find out anything similar, please share!

Ah man I know the struggle! I became so comfortable with bd25.eu I didn't realize how dependent I had be come. There was always a part of me that knew the day would come. Not to mention how the site kept going down. Really thought it some how could have been avoided. The database was like no other.
You mentioned there's a dump of their DB? Please share... Will most certainly keep you posted if I come across anything.

zey0r, It's quite simple:
1- go to nzbstars.com
2- type "bd25 dump" (without the quotes) on the search field.
3- Download the site-rip.
It's not the same as having the site to use, but at least you have it's backup.
If there are too many files (it takes more than 200gb unzipped) for your filemanager to handle, use terminal to list or move em around.
There is a txt inside the dump with a somewhat organized content: bd25eu.txt.
...And many password files. I was lucky with the ones I tried, they had simple passwords like the site name.
I also created a passlist from all the passwords for using with scripts and johntheripper, but john2rar is terrible with multipart rars... It is also not yet complete (I have to remove some mediainfo that became part of it since i merged all txts into a single thing).
But overall you can still download and just look at the number of the post and hope that the password matches the numbered password.
In my case it didn't, but the file i needed had "bd25.eu" as a password. Many have.
Just to let you know. The dump that is going around isn't complete. One of the admins of the Discord did make a complete backup before the site did go down.

This Discord admin didn't post his backup?
Is he sharing it as a torrent or nzb?
I avoid Discord as much as possible due to privacy concerns.
The dump that somebody made and shared in all forums was uploaded to the discord.
The dump that the discord admin has, wasn't posted on Discord by him. It will probably only be posted when the new BD25 site is up.

Well, at least he is going tho give the world a new site!
I could download many from the nzb I told. I will later share my passlist here if that is welcome (it is just the txt password files from the backup turned into a single one with one password per line and repeated ones removed for using with scripts or passlist tools).
Nice to read that there is a site in the "works" But I'm not holding my breathe.
Would be appreciated. So far every release I've picked either has no password or has the password file with it.
