I checked and they've all stopped invite but WIHD, which has an invite+interview via member or interview on Krokronuts. But it's terribly difficult to join that tracker.
abn and hdo have stopped invites. They only do interview on recommendation of a member.
but unless you want rare French Canadian TV programmes, I can't see any reason one want to join Ethor. All their content can be found elsewhere, you should join Ygg, it's open registration at the moment and has a lot more content than Ethor.

Create a request for movies you can't find on HD-f. You don't really need 4-5 french trackers.

You don't really need to join empornium if you have an account on Pornbay. I gave my account away as i had no use for it.
I was trying to expand my archives of ManyVids, MFC, and other nsfw paygates. PornBay didn't cut it at all, maybe the person is just obscure or not popular enough for the community. Someone told me that EMP might have it. I regularly download most of those kind of vids. Though PornoLab is a great choice too but just like PornBay it didn't have what I want.
IMHO PornBay is great, but Empo is wayy better. Has a lot more and detailed content. Like you said, the not so popular one. Site rip requests get filled all the time. Getting into it via RED is very doable, last time I checked it was only needed to be PU.
