    Chernobyl

    Chernobyl
    TV-MA | 1h 4min | Drama, History | TV Mini-Series (2019)

In April 1986, an explosion at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics becomes one of the world's worst man-made catastrophes.

a mini-series that is on fire right now when it comes to hbo viewers or tv-shows enthusiasts
for me it was like i was watching again the documentary movies created by N.G. or History or others about the Chernobyl incident since i was fascinated by Chernobyl since the first Stalker Video Game was released - if not before..

looks like hype strikes again, spiced up with scenes of brutality, not to mention the usual globalist fearmongering propaganda & deception

    Spoiler imdb user comment:
How dumb do you have to be to enjoy TV these days?

These are actual things that happened in the first 30 minutes of the first episode.

After being told by 3 separate power plant employees that the core has exploded, including one employee who was sent to physically check the reactor and comes back with an eye witness account that the core has in fact exploded, the chief engineer, the guy in charge of a nuclear power plant continues to act as if they're having minor technical difficulties, even when the guy comes back from the core and starts vomiting blood on the floor.

Firemen in a city that was built to house workers from a nuclear power plant attend a massive explosion at said power plant and walk around picking up the strange looking pieces of metal that have been blown out of the reactor.

Relatives of the people working at the power plant walk around outside at one in the morning accompanied by their babies in prams to look at the huge fire ball emitting from the power plant about half a mile away and comment how they're not in any danger because the fire at the nuclear power plant is all the way over there.

A nurse upon seeing the huge fire at the power plant asks a doctor, a doctor who works at a hospital in a city who's sole purpose for being founded was to serve a nuclear power plant, f they have any Iodine pills, Iodine pills, the single most common form of treatment against radiation contamination, and the doctor says, and I'm not making this up, "Why would we need Iodine pills?"

At this point I decided my time could be better spent.

The area where the reactor was located and its immediate surroundings are not inhabitable and won't be for thousands of years. But some limited touring of the more distant apartment complexes and such (where background radiation isn't as strong) is possible.

    Chernobyl Accident 1986
    (Updated April 2018)

    • The Chernobyl accident in 1986 was the result of a flawed reactor design that was operated with inadequately trained personnel.
    • The resulting steam explosion and fires released at least 5% of the radioactive reactor core into the atmosphere and downwind – some 5200 PBq (I-131 eq).
    • Two Chernobyl plant workers died on the night of the accident, and a further 28 people died within a few weeks as a result of acute radiation poisoning.
    • UNSCEAR says that apart from increased thyroid cancers, "there is no evidence of a major public health impact attributable to radiation exposure 20 years after the accident."
    • Resettlement of areas from which people were relocated is ongoing. In 2011 Chernobyl was officially declared a tourist attraction.

The April 1986 disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in Ukraine was the product of a flawed Soviet reactor design coupled with serious mistakes made by the plant operators. It was a direct consequence of Cold War isolation and the resulting lack of any safety culture.

In recent years, visits to the nuclear explosion site have increased exponentially, with Kiev-based tour company, SoloEast, estimating that it takes approximately 10,000 tourists there each year.

btw. notice how this mainstream media is using the expression 'nuclear explosion', whereas it was a steam explosion

Apparently some russians are not too fond of this show, I read an article that they said Russia will make it's own 'Chernobyl' TV show.
    it's hip to be square

a documentary with truthful information would be appropriate

all these fictional depictions are exaggerated to shock the viewers, very often used as a vessel for pushing certain propaganda through to the mainstream audience and for asymmetric warfare as a part of the global(ist) struggle for domination

thats part of the propaganda, in a way covering up the fact that hollywood mainstream is (and was) supporting the murderous USSR regime(s) of the past, since they share common ideologies or variations thereof

That's to be expected from all movies and TV shows "based on a true story" to some degree; they're entertainment, and adaptations and sacrifices must be made to keep them entertaining. Those changes are sometimes made to fit a certain political agenda, yes, but this would still occur even if everyone involved was 100% objective and unbiased.

Anyway, I grabbed the pilot of this (the Amazon WEB-DL is 2 GB per episode!) and will watch it soon. And if Russia really plans to make their own version of the series, then I'm looking forward to that too

that's nothing 100% truthful information based on the human depiction - in humanity truthful is just based on the story teller point of view - capability of comprehension - Personal Beliefs and last but not least the interests of so called the truth speaker - that's why nothing is accurate or could be pointed out as Irrefutable Proof (truth)

thats part of the propaganda, in a way covering up the fact that hollywood mainstream is (and was) supporting the murderous USSR regime(s) of the past, since they share common ideologies or variations thereof
the hollywood propaganda has again spiked in the last 2-3 years against RUSSIA - but is so boring that i don't even bother to notice her anymore - since is in plain sight

since they share common ideologies or variations thereof
this sound like the first and second WW - wich was founded and gained most from it - the same people -wearing different hand puppets for the masses

I grabbed the pilot of this

in this case a 100% truth is not required, since 'making mistakes' is known as one of the 4 defects of all ordinary humans - however, the duty of the documentary author or researcher is to present the subject matter as truthfully as possible, especially avoiding any intentional distortion of his findings - this way the viewer can form a fairly accurate opinion on the topic, which is expected of the documentary genre

real 100% truth is also possible by achieving the spiritually purified vision of a liberated soul (saints, sages, spiritual teachers) - even after that stage there are further levels of spiritual realization available for fortunate/worthy souls

further examples of irrefutable truth, accessible to ordinary humans, can be found in sacred religious scriptures, which is why it is said that such scriptures are to be taken as truthful in their entirety, 'from cover to cover'
