thats because large sites like imdb and Rotten tomatoes work for the entertainment industry either from the start or they have been bought off or paid off somewhere along the way - their job is to secure consumers and create public opinion under the guise of an 'independent' reviewing platform

Which is just sad! Even some reviewers admitted they gave higher review so they can be in favor with Disney!

It seems like this movie has really good critic reviews but everyone else seems to hate it

We're currently oversaturated with superhero movies, they're the movie equivalent of Call of Duty games I've only watched the Deadpool ones, the humor makes them at least fun enough. I will watch Guardians of the Galaxy and its sequel for the same reason.

First Guardians movie is really good. I like it. Second one, not a fan.

This is so true. They're coming out with these superhero movies like twice a year. It doesn't seem like much in theory but there needs to be a long break after Endgame.

Makes sense mostly due to the fact that there's a vast difference between the critic and audience scores.

As long as these keep bringing in millions of dollars in profits, I don't think we'll have a break anytime soon. Just like with Call of Duty
