    Deluge Edit Stats

So no doubt about it, Deluge looks like the highest client rated on most trackers because of a seedbox. With utorrent you can use bencode editor to manipulate the statistics. Unfortunately that does not work with Deluge. Apparently the files are stored with Python and editting .fastresume does not work. The files are stored with pickle in torrents.state

Anyone who knows python want to give it a go :)?

I'll have a look, but Deluge refuses to run under Sandboxie

In an absolute worst-case scenario (which is not what we have here since this client is open source), careful usage of a loopback address or adapter can still be done to increase your ratio. See http://www.sb-innovation.de/showthread.php?p=321973 onwards.

Had a look, Im on a Mac so its hard for me to use that loopback tool, microsoft do not like us. I did try use the cheat engine but deluge runs under python, at least it is not showing on the list otherwise :(

I think it may have something to do with torrents.fastresume too because if I delete that file then it doesn't show any UL or DL stats.

That file can be opened with Bencoder BUT you have to convert it to RAW BENCODED DATA to see the values like uTorrent. You cant convert this easily

Nvm I took your method with the spoofing the local IP. It works.

The loopback adapter is just a neat trick to give your computer a "fake" address and make things realistic on screenshots or videos. As long as you can run two clients that can connect to 127.0.0.1, you can pull this off (as you eventually found out).

I still want to find the better way of editing the stats directly, though. Guess I'll have to set up a virtual machine or use a spare computer.

I have also figured this out.

    1) Open the torrents.fastresume in Bencode. It will appear in binary. Open Deluge and find the torrent hash you want to edit and then go back to bencode and find that in the list.

    2) Convert said hash in to Raw BENCODED data.

    3) Edit stats as necessary.

    4) In the menu press item and export. Save it on desktop if you want.

    5) On said hash you converted you need to convert it back to binary so press binary from file.

    6) Locate file saved in step 4.

    7) Save and open Deluge to new stats :)

    This took me 3 hours of playing around :{

Well, now you know how I felt when I looked for a way to unlock channel 14 in my wireless card (and eventually managed to do it)

    Thanks for sharing!

Of course. I was thinking that if you can add a few screenshots to make the ordeal more intuitive you could start a new thread there, but otherwise I'll copy your previous post.
