what you're suggesting is fighting depression with optimism and distractions, by diverting attention towards other (pleasing) activities in life, which is a temporary solution useful in crises but it doesn't solve the problem long-term because the origin or cause of these depressions is never addressed - if you want a more permanent solution, you gotta dig deeper

No, and I'll take the opportunity to clarify this. I burned that porn just for fun and/or because I could. I never even watched most of those videos. And as soon as I learned those DVDs were rewritable (the seller hadn't told me and it said "DVD-R" on the discs, so this was a pleasant surprise given their low price) I erased them all to have some blank discs in case, you know, I needed them for something actually relevant.

I downloaded and burned a ton of stuff I never went back to: warez packs, music I never listened to again, games my computer couldn't even run. With lots of tracker accounts and not having to worry about ratio, my download speed the sky was the only limit!
