Thread: I need some help testing windows xp

I need some help testing windows xp

I created a Windows XP SP3 updated with all updates since SP3 was released. It also includes WMP11 and IE8 and Intel SATA drivers from Forum - [Guide] Integration of Intels AHCI/RAID drivers into a Windows XP/W2k3/W2k CD

I need one or more volunteers to test it and see if it is 1. working at all, 2. working well and error-free (performance and other factors).
We should also test if its SATA drivers are working. Till this day I have not been able to find a universal pack of all XP SATA drivers or SATA drivers for every MB manufacturer. If you have any ideas, please share. We need to test here XP x86 SP3 and x64 SP2.

Now, for these integrations only nlite will be used. I can't use both DP_BASE and Nlite because at some point they'll screw each other.

What I know so far is:
    • download all updates via WUD
    • slipstream WMP11 first via WMP11 integrator
    • slipstream IE8 second via nlite
    • slipstream all updates via nlite
    • slipstream 3rd party drivers

And I hope this is the correct order for them. Again, if you know of any better ways, please share.

You may want to check which AHCI drivers are included in Hiren's Mini Windows XP. I've never had it fail to recognize a SATA disk.

for xp x86 there is a good stable driverpack for driverpack base..
    driverpacks.net
DriverPack Mass Storage 12.09 for Windows 2000/XP/2003 (x86)
and if you look in there forum you might find newer versions

for x64 just look online for xp x64 sata and raid drivers. as driverpacks dont do xp x64

I tried many ears to make an updated copy but it always is an small error that does not appear all the time. On some systems, i get a file cannot be copied, on others I get a BSOD. So i decided to drop it.

1st nlite : add updates addon
2nd nlite : add posready addon
    3rd nlite : add IE8 addon
4th nlite : add WMP addon
    5th nlite : add framework 1 - 4 runonce addon
6th rvm intergrator: add windows update till 2019 reg patch x86 only
    7th rvm intergrator: add c++ 2005 - 2017 silent installs
8th driverpacks base : add drivers x86 only (x64 use nlite)
    9th nlite : make iso
I would never do it like this.

On a different note, I talked to maher and my opinion is that it's not worth it.

my xp iso's always come out perfect and work 100% first time every time

always have people screaming for a updated xp on website.. and have over 200+ hits every day

was given a trusted skull on piratebay due to sharing my windows iso's on there..

must be doing some thing right huh..

    also doing iso's for win 7 , win 8.1 , win 10

also make many addons and silent installs for windows installations
and share them with others so they can also have perfect windows installs..

can only give my advise the way i do mine
and few others that make there own addons and silent installs do same way..
