"born from chaos and seeking order" seems like "apple falling extremely far from the tree"

the world doesn't always adhere to logic
actually it does, from the smallest to the largest part of the universe, nothing is... out of order
we don't see the logic, thus label it "illogical"

change is the essential process of all existence, you must challenge your preconceptions...
here's a challenge: change is common to the universe, but that who you are does not change - how do you fit into the universe then?

other than that, it seems to be a netflix series, thus expecting low quality
    the cgi looks ok-ish
    the alien design looks silly
    that funny guy seems unfunny
the dialogue does not sound scientific/SF
seems the black chick & the captain might keep it interesting to an extent (acting-wise that is )
it was a long time since a competent star trek series got released, as mentioned once before:

Star Trek (1966) - funny, cheesy, over-the-top cowboy-style space adventure
Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987) - likable, more mature but also melodramatic, best star trek series
Star Trek: Voyager (1995) - likable, best cgi, very good outcome
    anyways, we'll See get it?
