My otaku friends are always praising this anime as one of the best they ever watched. I still need to watch it, perhaps now that I finished Naruto

Anime is really good! One of first I ever watched! But I think, and correct me if I'm wrong, they screwed up the ending. I think it's not the same as in manga. Maybe I'm wrong!
