    what movie have you watched the most?

    I guess that's a classic question.
    When I bring this question with friends or colleagues, it always brings good time.
    On a forum, where we wear a mask to preserve our anonymity, it's even better as we are less scared to reveal anything.

    I have watched a few movies quite a few times, but one movie really stands out:

    Fear and loathing in Las Vegas. (I actually write this post while watching it again!)

    I lost count but it's 100% sure more than 15 times, and some more (I sometimes just watch a chapter to kill time)

    I also read the book 3 times (the movie is incredibly faithful to the book)
    I listen to the audio book at work
    It's the only movie where I find Johnny Deep really brilliant.
    I have learned long dialogues by heart (and started to seriously learn English because of the movie)
    I've been to Vegas because of the movie (and also rented a very convertible there)
    I read most of Thomson's books because of this movie
    the movie is permanently stored on my phone and tablet
    It's the oldest torrent I still seed in Vuze!!!!
    I can't say more, I may break some forum rules

    The Matrix ought to come 2nd, totally amazing, but no more than 10 viewings.

    there are plenty of great movies out there but none stand out as much.

    What are your picks? hopefully I'll discover a new movie

    My answer is a tie between Fight Club and Notorious 2009. I've watched them over a dozen times each. I went to the length of:
    • making custom encodes for my portable media player of the time, so that I could watch them wherever and whenever I wanted;
    • getting both subtitled and dubbed versions, just to see what the dubs were like;
    • for Fight Club, reading the book (usually at school and in the middle of a class), and randomly quoting the movie in conversations with a friend who is also a fan.

    In hindsight, Notorious wasn't very special, my 2009 self just liked it a lot.

    I think it's the first Transformers movie (loved cartoon when I was kid), and LOTR trilogy!

    In my case it was Fight Club, watched it a lot when it came out in VHS, then a lot more on DVD then a few more on HDRip, then finally bought a 10 year anniversary special edition BluRay. Whenever I watch it I discover something different which is great.

    I also make a lot of jokes with friends who liked the movie a lot and we quote it a lot, the rules thing, etc.

    Due to an incident in my country I couldn't watch it on cinema when it came out. There was a shooting with fatal victims inside a cinema in the capital and the film that was being shown was Fight Club. Since my country is very retrograde, authorities blamed the violence in the film as an inspiring factor to the shooting, which is absurd, and then they rushed to removed all showings of the movie everywhere. Yes I know, pretty stupid.

    Did anything notable change in this edition?

    Nothing in the film in particular that I could discern. I think it's called this way because of the bonus disc and art that came bundled in.

    If you like it, you'll likely also want to watch the Tupac Shakur biopic that will be out this year.

    I really like it, but the ending turned something believable into something surreal and ruined it for me :(

    I think we have something in common but I still respect who the story is well written and very organized. I think the writer has so long time searching languages things.
