Ah...... I was expecting edit history would reveal the hidden text, turns out not, haha. If you quote replied you would see.

banned experience is cheater's medal, like scar is warrior's medal, though this medal hopefully we'll never have (yes I still dont have)

You should have been here on 2009, when people were banned left and right because trackers used a CSS exploit to detect who visited this forum. What a load of fun that was! I got "globally" banned from three trackers at the time... What.cd, BCG and TopHos. The last two I didn't care about, the first two don't even exist anymore. I was pretty pissed at losing What.cd, but managed to get back in shortly afterwards.

Nowadays Pornolab and nyaa.si are the only ones I'd mind parting with, especially since my terabytes of upload there are 100% legitimate.

Yeah, saw this exploit from old posts, so another browser has been used specifically for cabal sites since registration (although this exploit has been fixed, just wanna safe than sorry eg. unexpected referer) I can imagine members must be thrilled at that time when culprit was found to be a css exploit! cheating seems like only for ratio at first, but eventually become a little “catch me if you can” competitive game. getting caught must be as irritating as losing game, and cheating on a super hard tracker successfully must be also super satisfying!

I'm using a separate browser for trackers to this day, although now as part of a larger security policy. E-mail, banking, taxes and anything else involving personal information are also isolated from each other. Browsers are probably the most exploited software due to their large attack surfaces and omnipresent user base (who doesn't use one?), and there is stuff like https://www.mike-gualtieri.com/posts...ck-and-defense which hasn't been completely solved to this day.

We were all pretty clueless until http://www.sb-innovation.de/showthread.php?p=102040 was shared. A year later, this exploit would become mainstream and get patched by all major browsers.

Been there, done that. I also had five active accounts on What.cd since they claimed to be so good at catching dupes (see https://filesharingtalk.com/showthread.php?p=3270643), all of which I eventually gave away. Ah, the good old days when I had time to waste on this stuff...

Yeah, and https://amiunique.org/fp. wonder if any trackers are already employing these means to track members and ban any rejoining attempts now, seems interesting.

How did you handle multiple IP addrs? have heard some trackers today have a list that maintains IP addr ranges of different VPN providers (exit addrs of Tor network seem also publicly available, so does the IP ranges of major Data center or IDC), so trackers know if we're using residential connection or VPN/Tor, no idea if it's true. I've planned if one day got banned, changing ISP seems the easiest and cleanest way to change IP range.

There was a DHCP exploit which allowed me to get a new address in literally seconds and without rebooting anything. Once my provider patched that, I turned to the fairly effective method of changing my router's MAC and power-cycling the modem.

Tor is a no-go for trackers; oppaiti.me and SCC are the only ones I know that allow(ed) it. VPN rules vary, but their usage is trivial to detect in any case; a WHOIS or ASN lookup perhaps combined with a DNS blacklist will do.

Those screenshots were leaked last year. Also, 32pag.es doesn't exist anymore.

Don't get too attached to your pirate sites, they could disappear at any time.

Also, fuck Spotify and RIP Grooveshark.
