Question what tracker would you recommend to test cheating scenario?

    Hi,

I'm mostly using Vuze "VEM" mod for cheating and after playing stupidly and recklessly for fun I now want to start running a set of cheating settings and check the results on the tracker as well comparing data between VEM and the tracker.

I went through all my numerous trackers and HD-T and PTP are the only ones that give me valuable stat thats I can compare with what I see in VEM.

If I don't find a another tracker I will probably end up using HD-T, they are so lousy in spotting cheating, it must be the summer holiday.

could you recommend a tracker with:
    free registration
an initial 10GB buffer to get me started
    maybe some freeleech
    few or no anti-cheat scripts
frequent update of my stat (every hour is ok)

    and stats like these:
Filename, Size, Status (seeding, leeching, H&R), Downloaded, Uploaded, Ratio

Nice to have: number of seeders/leechers

Any recommendation on such a friendly tracker?

    Cheers,

    M

This just gaved me a great idea. Why don't we have a test cheat server?
People with less experience in cheating may benefit from it, A LOT.

Because it takes time to run a secure tracker that won't compromise the rest of the server, and that time is better off spent working on the forum. Besides, there's an almost equivalent method anyway.

    torrent inurl:signup.php

Search that in your favorite search engine. Find some small tracker no one cares about using a stock install of the TB source, which should have almost all the features you seek (and probably delacct.php, to delete yourself in case you actually get caught). Create an account and use that for your experiments.

Anyway, what about setting up a WAMP and running your own test tracker on localhost? I hope that's an acceptable compromise

Yes, but that works only if that lazy dog is intelligent. those 2 attributes unfortunately don't come often together!

yeah sure, I have no knowledge in web server, not linux. not an option I'm afraid.
I went through a list of trackers, based on your search string in google, but none offered any decent statistics about my DL/UL. They're very basic.
for now, I'll keep using HD-T, I'd like to keep this account but they've been super louzy so far.

    Fair point

For this purpose, it's not very hard to do, but I don't know which source or hack offers the features you're looking for.

Also, here's an article that illustrates what I said before about the effort required to run a secure site.

Critical vulnerabilities discovered in Gazelle and TBDEV.net

TL and IPT, if you fail in both, you will fail on everything else
