in star war franchise, because that seems to be a new trend?

other than that, this has decent looks graphically, doesn't look convincing dialogue-wise (i rebel! lol), main actors are rather unknown (not counting yen or whitaker past their prime... what prime?

), the director did godzilla (ouch), the last star wars was a joke (so what chances does this have?)

You know, up until 2016 I haven't watched any of the Star Wars or Lord of the Rings or any of that mainstream stuff. So in the beginning of this year, I have made a resolution to watch them all and I did. So I'm looking forward to this next Star Wars movie. Star wars, even the old movies, are much better than I expected. I hate Han Solo though, he looks like an idiot.

All SW movies for me are just meh! I'll watch this one as well, but I'm not having any high hopes.

What did you think of LOTR? My favorite trilogy!

I was disappointed with Episode 7.
I'm also growing tired of scenarios that span over mulitiple parts. and SW will take 4 years.

This one looks better, back in the old days of the good old vilain: Darth Vador. But I still don't have high hopes, so I guess I won't disappointed!
Plus, I have all the vehicles but one shown in the trailer in Lego Star Wars sets. My son will like to play with again.

I'll watch this one with friends from my new work this week. I haven't watched any Star Wars movies so far, but I know that:

The description seems to indicate both fans and newcomers can "get" this one, so I'd wager that won't be a problem.

There's a ticket that costs like double, but comes with popcorn, two drinks and a Death Star. We don't know what's inside the star, I may be the sucker who buys it to find out...
