Thread: Computer reboots _while_ resuming from hibernation

    Try this: reset bios to default, shutdown system, disconnect internal cr2032 battery, then disconnect laptop battery. Press and hold power button for about 1 min then connect everything as it was.

    This model is a nightmare to open. Merely removing the keyboard is already cumbersome - it's held in place by four tiny latches, which must be pushed up with a tiny screwdriver (unavoidably damaging them in the process) at the time you pull the keyboard (unavoidably bending it in the process). And then you have to unscrew and take everything apart before reaching the CR2032 battery.

    I can do a CMOS wipe with UniFlash if you suspect the problem lies there, but otherwise...

    I haven't been able to find the cause of this since, so I simply disabled hibernation and began using standby mode instead.

    These "mystery" problems take a lot of time to research and solve, and I'm past the age when that's a lot of fun
