Thread: Discover new music

    Discover new music

What are the best ways to discover new music?
Interested in something like last.fm but somewhat better. I just want to listen to some songs I like and then recommend similar artists or songs by genre.

What's wrong with last.fm? It's actually what you asked for.

IIRC, Spotify and deezer offer this as well.

Grooveshark was the bomb for this, with its radio mode and artist suggestions Deezer, which Sazzy recommended to me too some weeks back, is a pretty good substitute and has those too.

What.cd has tags and an excellent "artist map" feature.

You can also simply join any warez or music forum where new uploads are posted daily and grab all the ones for the genres you like. I can get you inside a very nice private one, send me a message if interested.

Yes, last.fm offers recomandations but how exactly do they let me listen to their recommandations? I need discographies. From al I've seen all of their music is hosted on youtube.
