    Gparted v 0.22.0-2

Once again, the dev of Gparted has produced another version of this very good partion mgr for us.

Here is what's new for this latest version of Gparted:

26 May 2015: GParted Live 0.22.0-2 Stable Release

Uses "isohybrid --uefi" to make dd iso file work for UEFI computers
Based on the Debian Sid repository (as of 2015/May/22)
    Linux kernel updated to 4.0.2-1

Curtis Gedak has announced the availability of GParted Live 0.22.0-2, a Debian-based live disc which provides a graphical environment that facilitates disk management. This release offers an updated Linux kernel (4.0.2), improved UEFI boot support and has been tested (and confirmed to work) on a range of Intel, ATI and NVIDIA video cards.
It's only about 230 mb. You probably already know yourself that you can install Gparted to your Grub menu via the 40_custom file.

    So ya...that's all folks.
    Enjoy your day.

And also since the two Partition Magic boot floppies I used all the time became obsolete.

You can run a partitioning program inside a Windows PE, but then you risk automounting the file systems, blue screens... this one's much better.

What was the bug Lucius? How did Gparted produce a solution for you in the bug that you had at that time?
What OS were you using at that time?

I find that Gparted is really good too. I love it, myself. I've got it listed in Grub should I ever decide to partition the hard drive and hence benefit from having any of the partitions not mounted while the process occurs.
The only thing is that, for me at least, is that I can't seem to have any version above 0.20 listed within Grub. Don't know why it won't boot up.

Regardless, as a persistent application within the Gnu/OS-Linux, it's no problem.

I find that Gparted is one of those programs that's really progressive.

    What was the bug Lucius?
It was many years old now but as far as I remember, I was resize a partition and moving some others (right or left I don't remember). and the bug was already got patched but as you know the software center in ubuntu doesn't get updated regularly and the version I downloaded from the software center was older than the last (I knew that when i visited gParted web site to find a really big red announcement that describe the bug and It was just the same situation as mine what lucky I was )
anyway, the bug left me with the whole HDD with no partition table ! so the data was there but it's hidden. once I rebuilt the partition table all the data -but one partition- got recovered.

How did Gparted produce a solution for you in the bug that you had at that time?
the bug was known and already patched but the version i was using was old (wasn't my fault also )

What OS were you using at that time?
I was on windows xp and was installing Ubuntu (which I really love and respect)
