The description suggested a potential alternative to uTorrent, but in reality this seems to be pathetically oversimplified and dumbed down, as it is the trend these days.
"I just remembered something that happened a long time ago."

This looks really awesome! I hate how bittorrent clients always seem to start off light weight and then they become popular so the devs feel like they need to add useless features just for the sake of bloating the software. Thanks for the find!

let's hope their code is better than their grammar

on a more seriuos note it doesn't fuel my trust that i wasn't able to find any technical information about it anywhere. no feature list, no changelog, no basic info e.g. if it's still java based ...

    Right ;-)

I'm curious as well and hope it's not Java based. But I highly doubt it..

hehe i'm not the one claiming to have the latest "awesomeness"
but just for the record, "seriuos" -> typo, "Optimized for speed to provider faster data exchanges" -> bad

It's in beta, but so far it feels too simple, remind me some strip down eMule mods.

it's theory is (search -> download) , what about (Add torrent -> download ) ?!!

    light-weighting is not about feature-less application !!

You can set it as default magnet handler it seems. Just click all the handles! :)
I'm sure it'll be able to add a normal torrent file as well. It would be awesome if it could scan a certain folder for files, like the current one does. I have my client running on a headless machine and would prefer a super lightweight one like this.. (once ddj and ghostfucker hopefully starts hacking on it ;-) )

indeed...some simple cheating features (just as leaps mentality) would be nice.
e.g. fake upload with just an input field for the speeds and nothing else.

but vuze leap isn't written in java and i'm busy with other projects anyway

however, someone with reversing skills and plenty of time could add some functionality into leap, like owyn did with userenity.
at least the new options could be added to leap's native ui, since it's based completely on html/js :)

Please go to Settings in Leap and make sure it is set as the default torrent client.
If it is you can just double click on your local .torrent file and you should see the task added in the Download tab in Leap.
We are planning on adding a drag and drop over the Leap UI feature for local .torrent files to make it easier.

Oh cool. Does that mean it's a node app, or have they taken the stupid way and created something of their own?
