I meant something different with child pornography : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Child_pornography

Similar applies for teen porn , etc.

    who is us?
    Present people

as the society opens up to some forms of weirdness, 'the new stuff' eventually gets somewhat boring and retro becomes more interesting again
I don't think retro will ever be back in style. Retro would be normal but the situation always gets worse, not better.

    who is everybody?
In porn industry this is a must. We exclude here specific areas of porn.

    shaving or trimming?
    Bald, man, bald.

'if it's there it is for a purpose' is accurate, but it applies to both physical parts (like pubic hair) & non-physical things: actions (like shaving) & thoughts & events and everything else (incl. that which you cannot imagine yourself doing or that which you are strongly against, say, like pr0n addiction)
So... you are saying it's fate? That you should embrace whatever stupid thought with joy.

so lets say that the bikini is the reason for shaving pubes in the west - whats the reason for inventing the bikini? 'to boldly go where no previous swimsuit has gone before' - a novelty, a trend
A tred, yes but one that made hair trimming a must. Think of a girl with a skimpy bikini that has a full bush, how would that look?

so i don't really see the problem here, thus, still nothing to worry about!
Everythink we, our parents, grand-parents thought was normal.

the original intention of the movie creator is one thing, what you learn from it is another, what someone else learns is yet another,...
You seem to be missing a point a here: not everyone is ready to learn something from an experience like that.

and everything is art, no matter how insignificant or banal it seems - mainstream definitions of art obscure that simple fact... which means pr0n is art too
Agreed but porn is a no-brainer. Every fool can make it.

life consists of role-playing, so does acting in a movie (or pr0n), the latter are staged, acted & directed, but to what extent does that apply to the former?
    Forced role-playing? Slaves maybe.

likewise, addiction continues when the conditions for it (to continue) are met
likewise, addiction ends when the conditions for it (to end) are met
the same applies to any & every event
So, while conditions are met it is pointless to resist?
You remember several years ago the situation with WoW gamers? Most of the, due to these factors, lost their jobs, spouses and failed education.

In all honesty, hair is nasty.
Agreed but in my opinion, everything is prettier with hair than without. Just my 2 cents.
It's harder to maintain and clean it but also worth it.
    Thanks

how is this beneficial? if none of it happened, you'd have nothing to learn from it, you wouldn't even notice it, you wouldn't get a chance to re-examine your own viewpoints on it and they even made you think about seemingly unrelated things like the nature of reality

the nature of reality is 'what it is', 'as it is' - no one can change that, its not supposed to be changed, its supposed to be understood and lived according to - currently we are all living according to what we think we know (subjectively), which is not the same as what really is (objectively) - as the former comes closer to the latter, so the level of understanding rises, so the amount of ignorant actions/events/behavior decreases - which is obviously a beneficial outcome and everything that is a part of this process cannot be anything other than beneficial (it can only be non-beneficial if you currently cannot quite understand this, thus mislabeling it as such)

but the situation always gets worse, not better.
remember the waves & the cycles, they go up & down, round & around:
    - before there is an up, there must be a down
    - before there is a down, there must be an up
    - none of them solely lasts into infinity, they exchange (into infinity)

maybe its destiny (notice an analogy: destination of a journey)
there are no 'stupid thoughts' either, they are there for a purpose/reason, your task is to understand them (not every single one, since this is physically/mentally impossible, but also not necessary since an adequate general understanding needs no excessive amount of details, you know what they say about details... ) and their purpose, which you eventually will, but only when you become ready-to-understand, when the conditions for the understanding are met (more correctly: for a better understanding than the current one)

'embrace whatever thought with joy' - why not? these thoughts tell you something about yourself and your current situation, they are your thoughts, they develop as you travel, they adapt to whatever you learn and reflect that new understanding - embracing reality 'as it is' is better than fighting some imaginary enemy (who supposedly gives you stupid thoughts)

Everythink we, our parents, grand-parents thought was normal.
exactly! 'you thought' - and now the events around you show that 'what is normal' can change through such a simple item as a bikini and they challenge you to understand how this can happen, to reexamine your previous thoughts/beliefs on 'what is normal' and 'how things work'

not everyone is ready to learn something from an experience like that.
you're always ready to learn something, it just might not be that what 'you think you will' or what 'you think you can'
also, pr0n was just an example of an experience - there are plenty of other experiences out there to learn from

Agreed but porn is a no-brainer. Every fool can make it.
is it? maybe low budget amateur pr0n with inexperienced personnel - but that applies to any other form of entertainment or art as well

    Forced role-playing? Slaves maybe.
in pr0n? harsh, yes, but they do get paid (rather good too) and it involves consenting adults (at least to an extent)
in life? forced by birth, yes, but they do get paid (with experiences/understanding/journey/discovery) and it involves consenting adults (who are still learning/discovering what that actually means)

So, while conditions are met it is pointless to resist?
your physical & mental actions are also a part of these conditions, they all count towards the outcome
whatever you do, resist something or accept something or something else, it is pointless to resist the consequences, the outcome, the journey, the understanding that comes with it (as said before, it is post-factum anyways), or more correctly: it is pointless to think you can resist the outcome and whatever comes with it, it is much better to observe & conclude as it is happening

    a practical example:
someone dies and their parents cannot accept the fact that it happened so they grieve endlessly and ruin their future so to speak - eventually they do accept the fact and finally move on to other challenges - could they have acted differently?
    - (theory) yes, if they had a better understanding at the time
    - (practice) no, since time proved the latter (ie. they really didn't have a better understanding at the time)

if you can understand this, then you realize that whatever happened in the past had to happen that way (since everybody acted according to their own level), which (almost) instantly removes any psychological burden of endless questioning of own past actions (if only i was..., if only i hadn't..., i could have..., if only i didn't do this or that..., they could have..., if only they didn't do this or that...) - i think it is pretty obvious how huge the benefits of such an understanding really are and how much easier it is to face future challenges without the aforementioned baggage of illusions

Addiction is everywhere. The general population is so used to cell phones, tables, computers that they don't even concieve life without these gadgets.
I was looking today at celebritites before and after they applied makeup. Now it is true that beauty lies in the eye of the beholder but women, feel compelled to applie massive ammounts of makeup just to appear attractive where, in reality, they all are pretty.

Based on this, why do women do this? I've known people that got married with women not so pretty to me, but to them they were exquisite.
Food, people, nature nothing is natural anymore.

Not all women are pretty. It's also clear to me you're not a woman
Women get judged far more on appearance than men.

But, as I said, every man sees beauty in his own eyes. Beauty is not defined as a general concept.
What I find pretty, you, others might find hiddeous. Correct?

    @Master Razor:

Addiction is everywhere. The general population is so used to cell phones, tables, computers that they don't even concieve life without these gadgets.
it is said that history repeats itself - people of the current (IT?) era experience similar things as generations before them did in some other era (industrial age, middle ages, early civilizations,...), they too were addicted to physical & non-physical things of that particular time, they too had similar problems/thoughts/desires/questions/..., etc.

Now it is true that beauty lies in the eye of the beholder
subjective beauty - depends on the beholder, on the beholders idea of 'what is beautiful' (aka individual/subjective view or opinion)
societal beauty - is also subjective, depends on the societal idea of 'what is beautiful' (aka societal norm)
scientific beauty - is also subjective, depends on the scientific idea of 'what is beautiful' (aka scientific theory or law)
any other group's beauty - same as above (example: postmodernist idea of beauty)
    ...
objective beauty - does not depend on the beholder (it is what it is), yet applies to any & every beholder (their subjective views are derived from the objective one, from the actual object of their observation)

remember that story about blind men and the elephant? well, the elephant represents objective beauty, men represent subjective views, their blindness represents inability to fully comprehend the objective (blind to every aspect of the objective other than their own view)

notice another analogy: 'the objective' also means 'the goal', the goal is to understand (what) the goal (is), the objective is to understand the objective (view)

just like the aforementioned example of beauty, the same applies to other concepts like love, morality, theory/practice..., it even applies to physical objects (they are that what your senses tell you, a subjective image, a subjective idea of what a physical object is), it even applies to your own person (you are that what your senses tell you, a subjective image, a subjective idea of what you are), guess it might apply to everything you may encounter, ever!

women, feel compelled to applie massive ammounts of makeup just to appear attractive where, in reality, they all are pretty. why do women do this?
they think that they need to do it
they think it is the right thing to do
they want to do it (same as: they think that this is what they want)
it corresponds to their subjective idea of what to do
applies to anything women or men or anyone else does

Food, people, nature nothing is natural anymore.
it all changes according to the new conditions, in an industrial age you can expect industrial (as well as pre-industrial as well as hints of post-industrial) food, people & nature, 'to each age their own' (as in: 'to each their own')

the definition of 'natural' is not 'nature without people' (theory), but 'nature with people' (practice), not 'environment without living beings' (theory), but 'environment with living beings' (practice) - also, regardless of the definition applied or any of their particular 'states of existence', they still must fit within the 'nature of reality' - so essentially, everything you may encounter or do or dream about or think about is in reality very much natural or a natural event

the so-called man-made things were also made from whatever was found in nature (resources), these things were made by nature-dwelling natural beings (men/humans), under such circumstances (natural laws, conditions, era) that made them possible, which makes them natural (the so-called 'artificial' is also natural, merely man-made)

besides, when we say 'not natural' or 'unnatural', it doesn't really mean 'something impossible', it often means something uncommon or unexpected or inconvenient or strange, something deviating more or less from what we expect or define as 'natural', ie. the most unnatural things are just farther (than some others) from your own definition of natural and your own definition is subjective, thus also more or less farther from what objectively IS
    Thanks

    @the 300 site (About Us):

We are a community of artists and musicians, activists and healers, practitioners and seekers dedicated to contributing everything we possibly can to the massive shift in consciousness that is presently taking place on planet Earth.
it may be a massive shift in 'being interested in some new things, compared to yesterday's interests', but this is nothing particularly new or special because history repeats itself and global topics emerge and change regularly
massive data does not mean massive advancement, it only means... massive data
what you can pick up from that data is another story and you will be able to pick up only as much as you can carry, as much as you are able to pick up, as much as you are ready to understand

At the root level, beyond empathy and compassion, we believe that every sentient being simply desires two things: Happiness, and Freedom.
how about: understanding what that being IS and whats the purpose/reason for its existence?
how about: becoming happy by knowing the truth
how about: becoming free from ignorance of your own being's essence?
what about other, so-called non-sentient beings?

we recognize that in order to fully liberate ourselves, we must first teach others how to liberate themselves, for until we do, whether we like it or not, that tethered, polarized mass of people is our slavery.
how can you teach someone about something you didn't experience for yourself?
that mass of people are your fellow travelers, on the same kind of journey as yourself, role-playing as they travel - it is this role-playing that we learn from, be it from our roles or someone else's, be it from current roles or past ones, be it from sentient or non-sentient beings, etc. - its not slavery, its a system of learning, a biological school if you will, 'hidden' in plain sight

the truth, in its many forms, can truly set a person free, helping to release them from the chains of conventional thinking and empowering them to think and act for themselves.
the truth can set you free from everything other than itself, so it better be the objective truth then
hmm, the ignorance can set you free from everything other than itself too, could be why it is said that 'ignorance is bliss' (hopefully no one comments on this to spoil the bliss, eh? on the other hand, the truth is a bit trickier to spoil, no? maybe if you do a chomsky or a gore on it hehe)

We believe that the truth is divided among us, like pieces to a puzzle, and that only when we come together, in communion, are we able to reveal it, and understand it.
people all over the world are already together (the planet, the universe, the interconnectedness)
if you want to compare the truth to a (jigsaw) puzzle, then there is an individual puzzle for everyone and they collect various pieces as they travel (as they live) - their pieces are individual and cannot fit into someone else's puzzle, even though its the same image embedded within (same objective truth for everyone) - think of it as one image copy/pasted onto numerous boards, each board cut with a different pattern producing unique sets of pieces - subjective truth is a partially completed puzzle, objective truth is a full completion

@the 300 site (What does "Collectively Conscious" mean?):

They say that two minds are better than one. Well, how about 10,000 minds? Or a million minds? The internet IS the technological manifestation of the collective mind of humanity. Though presently very messy, and in many corners very dark, we believe it has the potential to unite the knowledge, the wisdom, and the intelligence of all men, women, and children who inhabit the Earth. If we are to awaken, it will only be as one, when in cooperation with one another. For together we become ॐ Collectively Conscious ॐ.
only if you can add minds, if minds have the same sign (+) and if you define better as 'quantitatively more',... all of which have certain glaring issues

technological/biological/... manifestations serve to tell a story about this reality we live in, you're supposed to learn how to read/hear/sense it in order to understand it - technological imitations are by definition inferior to the originals, any attempt to prove otherwise will only end up proving how you can't beat the original at what they are supposed to do and you may even prove that imitations are also exactly that what they are supposed to be (imitations/inferior hehe)

if we are to awaken, it will only be one by one, as a result of our journeys, from partial to full awareness, full awareness representing the limit defined by what we truly are

and we are already conscious (i'm conscious or consciously aware of my existence, therefore i am - i think, therefore i think i am), at least with partial awareness/consciousness

@the 300 site (Hive Mind Philosophy):
    (quotes from various writers/researchers)

according to the visionaries who predict a world-spanning intelligence, this is just the beginning. They tell us that a radical human transformation has begun, one that will hook ‘the billions of minds of humanity together into a single system
there is already intelligence in everything around us or within us, no need to re-invent some new age nu-intelligence

everything is becoming connected to everything else. Not only everything in the present moment, but all past moments as well, are being drawn, compressed, squeezed towards the production of the transcendental object at the end of time. Which is nothing less than all time, all space, shrunk down to an atomic dimension and handed back to us, do you see?
    it was always interconnected
big crunch is just as silly as it sounds, don't you see?

“There is an urgent need to ensure that our global brain is sane rather than insane.
    umm, what?

We can look at cell phones and instant messaging already as a form of telepathy.

It is not another incarnation of communism where nobody has any private property. A well synchronized group will make sure that its members each live at a comparable level of comfort with the physical possessions necessary to meet the current standard of living.
actually, that sounds exactly like a more standardized/uniform version of communism, oops

their perception equipment enables them to feel with another person – ‘be them’.

Jesus Christ’s precept ‘thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself’
feeling is not the same as being, it is a part of one being's experience - the same applies to 'think with another person'
that other quote means love thy neighbor's essence, for it is the same as yours (whether your neighbor may be human/animal/plant/matter)

we are each a divine perceiver, or as Ibn al-Arabi understood it, we will discover that our souls are the sense organs of the Divine.
nice, but does the divine need partially sentient/sensitive organs?

The Uniter is going to be born here and it is going to come in plenty. It is not going to be only one human being but many.

“The next Buddha will not take the form of an individual. The next Buddha will take the form of a community; a community practicing understanding and loving kindness, a community practicing mindful living. This may be the most important thing we can do for the survival of the Earth.
that doesn't make any sense - even with a highly advanced individual such as the buddha, not that many of his close associates/disciples gained his level of enlightenment and i'm not aware of any huge/wide shift happening during his times (other than buddhism or his legacy) - so this smells like some organization/community playing the handlers, pretending to be advanced and exploiting gullible followers

A child plays and develops his or her gifts, but doesn’t apply them toward their true purpose yet.
that is their true purpose (for that particular period of time), to be developed via playing, in order for the child to be able to adequately participate in this world as an adult later on

did a quick run-through the Aesop fables' morals-only:

    note:
    .Moral of the story (site)
    - comment (slik)

    .Appearances are deceptive
    - thus look for the essence
    .One good turn deserves another
    - it hopes or expects another (results may vary though)
.It is best to prepare for the days of necessity
    - try not to over-prepare
.He that finds discontentment in one place is not likely to find happiness in another
    - be happy/content with what you had/have/will have
.A man is known by the company he keeps
    - they do influence each other
.Fine clothes may disguise, but silly words will disclose a fool
    - still, one needs to be able to recognize a fool

Moral: To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up.
doing nothing is impossible, doing things of little usefulness could be more like it
the further you are from those sitting up, the less you know about them & their activities

Moral: Bullshit might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there.
but in a system built on BS (BS-ing others & oneself), he who BS's the most sits on top!
which is nicely observable in the kind of leaders & major organizations we have throughout the world

    1) Not everyone who shits on you is your enemy.
    2) Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend.
    3) When you're in deep shit, keep your mouth shut!
i get a feeling that all these are some kind of nu-fables as they seem to be full of sh*t (words)

we had several (lengthy) discussions about that during the time SealLion was active in the political/news section a few years back

besides, what does common sense tell you? scare tactics is being used over and over again to push certain legislation and new mainstream paradigms - we have all witnessed it with RIAA & co. regarding filesharing, political corruption is witnessed daily, history repeats itself,... yet somehow we still believe how these are just some localized incidents or mistakes or flukes, even though it is (and has been) happening all across the board in every area of human activity (from science, religion, ideologies up to their applied examples or interpretations)

    so in this case:
    - global warming = false (it means man-made global warming, not to be confused with natural temperature fluctuations)
    - greenhouse effect = good (keeps the planet warm)
    - CO2 = good (plants 'breathe' it)
    - methane = irrelevant (cows = good!)
    - water vapor = very relevant, blame the oceans!
    - 'hockey stick' = false - CO2 increase comes after a temperature increase, not vice versa as al gore wants you to believe! not to mention it comes a few 100's of years later lol
    - human-caused or man-made atmospheric CO2 influx = minuscule (under 5% per year)
    - environmental care = good (moderation ftw)
    - natural cycles & fluctuating values = good (remember the waves)

btw. nowadays a more ambiguous term 'global climate change or climate change' is being used instead of 'global warming', since it is easier to support it: any change in the measured parameters (and they fluctuate constantly via natural rhythms) supports climate change! lol

and what does this tell us: that ignorance (of the leaders & the voter majority) has quite a potential to make all of our lives more difficult by blindly trying to find some (imaginary) danger to obsess about - until they become ready to change their current subjective views on this and other similar topics, expect the situation to continue, expect opposing camps, dualistic struggle and other ways of reflecting the natural flow (of things)

The man-made global warming hypothesis is far from being confirmed by observations, many of which suggest that it is false. Environmental daydreamers try to make it seem axiomatic that imaginary dangers of this warming should be remedied without waiting for proof. In fact, they ask that the scientific uncertainty should become a basis for worldwide regulation, which may enormously burden the people of the world, especially in developing countries. F.B. Cross, pro-fessor of business regulation at the University of Texas, warned that "the precautionary principle is deeply perverse in its implications for the environment and hurnan welfare." 94 To fulfil their dreams, however, environmentalists are ready to pay any costs: to impoverish entire nations and thus endanger the environment; to destroy the industry created by the toil and sweat of their forefathers: and to strangle our civilization. It is astonishing how easily and credulously a large part of society, exposed to concentrated media manipulation, has accepted the global warming mythology. One can understand the psychological and social reasons for this acceptance. However, the actions of the United Nations Organization and many governments, leading the Earth’s community into an economic and civilizational disaster, on the ground of a wanton specter, do not seem responsible. Is it perhaps too much to ask politicians to act reasonably, instead of for selfish, short-term interests?
