Thread: How Can Private Trackers Know

    How Can Private Trackers Know

Besides changing IP,Use a different Browser, Delete Cookies,Delete History . obviously a different Email and Flushing DNS what else does a Tracker check to see whether you have Registered previously Or Been Banned Before?

Probably, the ONLY thing you cannot change is ypur ISP, and most Trackers won't let you register if you are using a Proxy or a VPN.

I know there are 2 Mac address - Your Computer and Your Router [ if you are behind one]
    - I know how to change the Mac address of the Router, in fact I have to change it for my ISP to get a different IP.

no. it is not possible to see the mac address unless you're physically on the same network. they cannot see your local hostname either unless some program tells it (irc client and others).

You can spruce up your browser security and what it reveals to any website you visit, inadvertently or not. Few links on the subject:

I guess that if the Staff of the Trackers loo closely enough or just simply use -
    The IP WHOIS Lookup
, it will disclose the Geographical proximity where that IP originates.

Not sure whether they can access your Computer IpV4 address or Default Gateway address, which stays the Same, even though after you alter your Public IP.

no, that can only be seen from the outside if a program tells it. same as in my example above.

username / e-mail / IP (country/link type/ISP!) is all identifying info in 99% of cases.

Stuff like browser fingerprint is, while possible, highly unlikely factor that would tracker staff store and check against.

Oh yes, for extra caution change your torrent client version build and port number (especially if you are using fixed one!)

Something weird happened to me on what. Even though I had used a different name, email, browser, IP, inviter, client port, they still caught me... When I went to their IRC channel the first question was "do you know somebody on what?" LOL I still wonder how they pulled this through.

Don't start seeding the same torrents that you downloaded earlier and were seeding. They have the history of download and can catch you.

in case of irc you also have to consider your ident. change all settings in your irc client before connecting again. even better use a different one
