Windows Media Player is required to support MTP. Removing it from within the system via Windows Features leaves a few files that keep this functionality. Not a big problem if you know how to use ADB, in any case.

Which reminds me, I never did write that ADB explorer UI. I've just been using samba and solid explorer.

    yes thats the one.

Had me pulling my hair out for days some years ago installing and uninstalling Samsungs windows USB drivers and it still not working.
Including installing Samsungs entire suite of garbage which didn't sort squat and caused all sorts of other issues.

I think I just wanted to copy some files over to new phone at the time FFS.

Can anyone go to ign.com, and open an article that has video in it? Does video play for you? For me it just freezes, and I'm not sure if it's because of adblocker!

Let's face it, neither of us thinks there's anything wrong with typing terminal commands in the first place.

Works for me on Chromium 66 without any blocking addons. (I should update it, but I use the Debian paradigm these days: if something works and doesn't have any easily exploitable security holes, it stays as is.)

Go to Ublock origin dashboard, then settings, check on "I am an advance user" then go back to ign.com, click ublock origin and then make sure you allow ign.com in the local rules column which is on the right side (the boxes must turn green as showed in the picture) then click the padlock to make changes permanent.
