No, no and no. It's a general store, one of the biggest in all of RO. A year ago you could return any product you bought with a given time period (14 days, 30 days, etc.) regardless of store you bought it from. Now, not only that you will not be able to return it but you'll also not be able to turn it for warranty when it breaks.
I'll elaborate with some examples:
- a man buys a printer. he gets home, unpacks the printer, installs the cartridges, and he notices paper jams. He re-packs the printer and goes with it to the store from where he bought it. The man at the store said you cannot get your money back because you unsealed the cartridges and your warranty does not apply because it's your fault the paper jams (i.e. bad paper, .etc)
- I bought an expensive mouse about 1 month ago. I got home, used it about 1 min and I didn't like it (the store's site had bad specifications for it). I took it back within 2 hours after I bought it and they refused because it was unsealed.
Legally they have no grounds to enforce this but the laws here are interpretable and everyone applies what he/she thinks is the law.
There are thousands of these situations at every store in RO. I'm not sure how things are abroad but here this kind of thing is not normal. At first I though it was only one store, but every does this. And top it all, once you buy something you can't even get in touch with the store. They don't answer their phone, nor respond to emails. You have to go down there and complain.

Leaving the specifics of this particular incident aside, I find it the double standard that is alluded to in the article pretty interesting. Most people would be okay with letting their kids play GTA or COD, but a game where with anime boobs? No way.
Make no mistake, I think that in principle both guns/gore and sexual content are inappropriate for children (exactly how inappropriate could be discussed), but society only seems to go apeshit about the latter Okay, with the occasional school shooting where you're just bound to eventually hear the phrase "the killer played violent video games and listened to Marilyn Manson" as an exception.

seems people are more sensitive to nudity, while already quite desensitized to violence (available in all kinds of media)Originally Posted by anon
someone noticed another double standard by the author of the article:

He be trollin' The Sono Hanabira series is known for not being fetishized, and this game in particular is still sold through other channels. However, Steam is so big and important that a lot of exposure and potential sales and fans will be lost by suddenly vanishing from its catalog, and Valve refuses to give any explanation whatsoever as to why they did it. That's what's making people upset.

Let's discuss about linux memorabilia. Say one would like to start a linux collection, something that says GNU/Linux, what can one collect?
I'm thinking something the original work print of the GPL license, or the first source code of the linux kernel.
Well, I don't know what you have in mind, but here's something to get things started.

Storry telling time:
You can choose between:
1. how I fixed a laptop with a banana
2. the story of my last job in which the company went bankrupt, got bought up by another company, where 70% of the people left in 1 month, the IT divison splitted in 2 main groups fighting each other, and at the same time the personnel was leaving and stealing everything in their path.
You have already told us bits and pieces of point number two, so let's go with the banana.
However, we should all vote on this and decide democratically
