Anyone has any recommendation for monitors? I think it's time I buy a new one, but I have no idea what to look for. I currently have nvidia 1060 GPU. Resolution is fine 1920x1080. Price range up to 300€. I do like to play games

If you're really into games then you should consider getting 144 hz monitor (considering your good GPU).
You should look up for these:
    ASUS VG248QE
    BenQ ZOWIE XL2411P
    AOC G2460PF
    MSI Optix G24C FHD
    LG 24GM79G-B

Price for all of these varies from 200€ to ~220€

    Thank you!
From your list which one would you go for or would you say it's the most worth buying?

These are all TN panels and they're notoriously crap. Get one with an IPS panel. Especially if you have an IPS panel already, going to a TN will feel like a serious letdown. Yes the refresh rates are great on these panels and they're cheap, but all the rest is vastly insuperior. VA is inbetween TN and IPS, but being the best of both worlds also means you're by far not the best at any either.

So my suggestion: Get an IPS panel. There's a reason these are more expensive.

    For instance:

    Acer Nitro VG270U
    LG 27MP59G-P
    AOC I2475PXQU
    AOC Q2790PQU/BT
    BenQ GW2765HT
    BenQ PD2500Q

Thank you Sazzy as well! :)
Are IPS more "eye friendly" than TN panels?

IPS vs. TN Display - What is an IPS Panel?
IPS (In-Plane Switching) was created to address the shortcomings of TN panels. IPS panels seek to solve TN panels’ issues of poor color reproduction and viewing angles. In this regard, IPS panels have largely succeed. Not only do they offer a higher contrast ratio (superior blacks), high color accuracy (which leads to IPS panels also generally looking less “washed out”), but IPS panels also have very little color shift when changing the viewing angles.

The tradeoff to this is that IPS panels have slower response times, higher production costs, higher power consumption, and lower possible refresh rates. IPS panels have traditionally been 60Hz, although, as with all monitors, they can be overclocked (results will vary). There have been improvements to IPS panels over the years, and slightly different revisions in the form of E-IPS and H-IPS, but ultimately the differences between these versions are inconsequential to gamers and those not involved in graphic design as a job.

Due to their worse response rates and lower possible refresh rates, IPS panels are generally considered to be worse for competitive gameplay and used more often when color is important, such as graphic design. For gamers who don’t play competitively and prefer breathtaking strolls in Skyrim instead of sweeping scrubs in CS:GO, an IPS panel should be a consideration for the next monitor.

    VA Panels
VA (Vertical Alignment) panels offer a solid medium between TN and IPS panels. VA was created to combine the advantages of IPS and TN panels, and largely did, although they did so with some compromise. That seems to be a theme in the world of monitors.

Compared to IPS panels, VA panels have the advantage of higher possible refresh rates. Although most are currently 60Hz, there are a few that are above 60Hz. VA has more advantages over TN panels than IPS, with better color reproduction, higher maximum brightness, and better viewing angles. VA panels do have the best contrast ratios of all panel types mentioned, but they also have the worst response times of the monitor technologies covered here. This causes blurring in fast-moving pictures and is disadvantageous to gaming.

VA panels are a bit of a jack of all trades panel.

For the use of gaming, VA is not the greatest option due to generally higher response time in comparison to other panel types; this slower response causes more motion blur, effectively eliminating its deployment for fast-moving titles. For a general work monitor, VA panels provide high contrast ratios, brightness, refresh rates, good color reproduction, and good viewing angles.
    Hope that helps!
Keep in mind that you'll probably have this monitor for 10+ years, so it's best not to cheap out on a difference of e.g. 50 dollars.

(PS: VA panels tend to have ghosting issues too)

I downloaded more RAM for my laptop today I can't wait to see how swapping won't get crazy after opening VMware or Chrome.

Microsoft says the minimum requirement for Windows 7 and above is 1 GB, but you can't do anything with that, you can barely do things with 2, and even 4 is tight.

On a 4 GB system, I would suggest installing an x86 Windows and applying PatchPae to be able to use all memory. The only reason I didn't do that myself is because Intel HD Graphics drivers are incompatible with PAE patches (unless you're willing to install the XP ones, but then you fuck up brightness control and hardware acceleration). Later on, the same became true of VMware and ungoogled-chromium.

Anyway, performance has improved significantly with this upgrade, as expected. I'm running four browsers, BiglyBT and uTorrent (with a 200 MB cache) and everything is still smooth. Opening Chrome or Internet Explorer no longer makes the hard disk LED go crazy. I added the following tweaks to my BiglyBT command line to let it use more RAM more efficiently.

    Code:
    -XX:MaxDirectMemorySize=512m -Xms256m -Xmx256m -XX:+UseLargePages
I remember when I upgraded my first laptop from 1 GB of RAM to 2, good times

The gas bill arrived today and I was again billed 0 m3 for who knows what reason... second cycle in a row! If this continues into the winter months, I'm going to keep the stove at full blast every day

As if I had money to throw away like that My guess is that one of the apartments close to mine is vacant and they're reading the wrong meter.

the right meter (your meter) is still counting though, so when they finally notice the error, you'll get a huge bill... still wanna cheat the system in your favor?
