funny, but has several logical flaws:
- animals are considered innocent (without blame for their actions) but also unable to advance on their own, which means unable to live a life of 'good karma', lacking understanding and personal discipline needed for such a task
- if Buttons really lived a life of 'good karma', then he would be ready for the next stage of spiritual advancement, ie. he wouldn't say no
- being able to See an exalted spiritual personality is a good sign in terms of spiritual advancement, however Buttons responded in a way showing the opposite
- a person dedicated to spiritual advancement is all about acting responsibly, as opposed to acting frivolously
- living beings are not limited in terms of the number of their lives (living experiences in a body in the materialistic world) - if they keep making foolish choices in life, then they keep on transmigrating (changing bodies) for as long as the duration of the materialistic world (one cycle) and then they start all over again in the next cycle of creation (there is an endless number of cycles)
- 'coming back from the dead' after a near fatal accident still counts as a part of that one life (no 9 lives available)
- Nirvana represents a lower spiritual level and is therefore not particularly recommended
this comic may be used as an example of today's entertainment in general: it is enjoyable/entertaining, but at the same time conveys inaccurate ideas and propaganda, which promotes sinfulness and therefore results with a spiritually degraded society; that may think of itself as civilized, whereas behaving more like animals in a human body, which makes their reincarnation into an animal a logical consequence of their past actions and choices

as you do unto others so shall be done unto you, so you do the math
what if we can find a way to create meat ? Like clone it? Does that still count?
there is a way without killing: wait for the natural death of an animal to occur and then eat the meat of the cadaver, like vultures do - however, the spiritual advancement hindrance still applies
as for cloning, the body won't develop on its own, the soul needs to be present within the body for it to function, so i think they're using already fertilized embryos for that
