    File and text encryptor

    Encryptor 1.2

    This nice, free, small (21KB), standalone utility will encrypt any text or file for you. The encrypted file will have the same size as the original one.

    I don't want to create another thread just for this but this reminded me of https://cryptobin.org/
    It's really nice.

    Yest other encryption tools:

    * On line encryption:
    (with optionnal screen keyboard)

    * Offline encryption:
    https://www.maxa-tools.com/mcse.php?lang=en

    MAXA Crypt Portable allows anyone to easily encrypt files, directory trees and texts using the 256-bit Rijndael algorithm. This algorithm is the winner of the Advanced Encryption Standard Contest. Multiple files can be encrypted and compressed into a single file.
    The program is under 500 KB of size and can be run on any Windows PC (or Linux, if using Wine). Since this is a stand-alone application, no installation is necessary, making this the ideal application to take with you everywhere, on your USB stick.

    Interesting set of encryption tools listed above. I remember the very first encryption tool that I used for encrypting .txt files was called Axcrypt. I don't recall it being initially a portable version as I do believe there is one available now. It just goes to show how big the market demand is for encryption related software. As such, I think it can also be said how important encryption is. Of course the demand for decryption software for decrypting encrypted files/folders is equally as strong by a large amount of policing and investigating agencies.

    He descending, will Himself,
    in thunder, lightning, and loud trumpet’s sound,
    ordain them laws".

    TrueCrypt - Free Open-Source On-The-Fly Disk Encryption Software for Windows 7/Vista/XP, Mac OS X and Linux
    TrueCrypt - Create encrypted drive with password authentication, no need to encrypt files again and again as you make changes

    Pismo Technic Inc. - PFO, Private Folder
    Pismo Technic Private Folder - Encrypted folder you can mount with password authentication, easier but less secure than TrueCrypt.

    I'm using PFO myself, keeps confidential data out of reach from others.
