    The Best BTjunkie Alternatives

A few hours ago BTjunkie decided to voluntarily shut down its website.

While the owners were convinced that they offered a legal technology platform, recent events such as the MegaUpload raids and the Pirate Bay verdict took away much of the fun.

Not an easy choice to make, as the site’s owners spent the last 7 years working on it day and night.

The decision comes as a shock to the millions of people who visited the site every week. But, they have no other option than to find a suitable replacement.

So where do these former BTjunkie users go to now?

What are the best alternatives to BTjunkie?

The Pirate Bay, Torrentz, isoHunt, KAT and Extratorrent are the most popular torrent sites in terms of traffic, but there are plenty of others to choose from.

So what are the best alternatives? Feel free to add your suggestions below.

Haven't visited that site in a long time.

Extratorrent should be the site everyone migrates to... Fantastic site and one I use daily...

Torrent Search Engine is a search engine same as btjunkie. Is it not ?

Torrentz is a free, fast and powerful meta-search engine combining results from dozens of torrent search engines
Indexing 15,806,877 active torrents from 63,371,679 pages on 32 domains

Owyn: TPB isn't a tracker anymore, they shut that part of the site down a long time ago. That's why all -foo-.tracker.thepiratebay.org announce URLs give an error.
