    Good Firefox Addons

I would like to share some firefox addons that I think are really useful just incase no one has heard of them.. If you have any that I don't have please share.

    1. Adblock Filterset G Updater - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1136
This synchronizes adblock to download a list of websites that give ads and blocks them. (works really well).
    2. Adblock Plus -
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865
This lets you block all sorts of things and create custom filters it can even block flash..
    3. DownloadHelper
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3006
This lets you download various things like .swf and other videos and sometimes music from sites that stream it.
    4. Greasemonkey
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748
This lets you run differnt scripts that people make which can range from blocking ads to improving a sites functionality.
    5. ReloadEvery
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/115
This lets you reload pages after a certain amount of time repeatedly
    6. Downloads in Tab
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4526
This lets you open the download window in a new tab instead of window
    7. Snap Links
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4336
This lets you hold down right click and drag a box over links and when you release it will open them all in a new tab.
    8.Speed Dial
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4810
    example:
This gives you similar to operas speed dial feature. its a slight bit slower though but its worth it because i like firefox better than opera..

    2. did you try editing the version number in the XPI file? (If you do a search, you'll find the procedure to do that)

Another option is to use Nightly Tester Tools.
I use it to override the version limit. Very handy when upgrading FF.

One of the best Addon is "GMail Manger".

It's a manager for GMail, very useful when you've much gmail accounts.

    I like TabRenamizor.
    Good for Privacy.

DownThemAll is a definite addition to any Firefox installation.
The inbuilt download manager is troublesome and often results in corrupt or slow downloads.
    DTA ftw.

    A couple I might suggest,

    1. Track Me Not - Stop Google/ISP/Any one else from tracking your search terms in a tsunami of queries.
    TrackMeNot

    2. FastestFox - The "endless pages" alone makes it worth installing
    FastestFox: Browse Faster

    3. BarTab - Only load tabs you want on restart

NoRedirect lets the user take control of HTTP redirects. It can be used to interdict an ISP's DNS search redirection hijacks: NoRedirect Firefox Extension - https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/11787

RefControl: You create a list of sites, and the referrer that should be sent for each site. You can choose to send that referrer unconditionally or only for third-party requests. Additionally, you can specify the default behavior for any site not in the list

    RefControl - Firefox Extension - https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/953

We have a dereferer in place, but it's good if you use it.

The addon lets you choose what your referer will be - none (in this case the Referer header isn't sent at all), a custom one (set by you), or the real one, as well as choosing that on a per-site basis.

Personally, I've disabled referers entirely, but note some sites won't work this way.
