I do have FF on laptop, which can run very fast and without problems. But for my old PC it's just pain to watch to load pages so slow!

Try Pale Moon Legacy. Its code is optimized for speed and it's based on a less-demanding version of Firefox, so it should be pretty fast.

Very useful addon. Sites can see your modified window size, not the real window size of your screen.

An other (can't edit my previous post):

    Tor Flashproxy Badge

Installing this addon allows your browser to become a bridge for censored internet users, like in China, Iran or Syria. It does required no knowledge and works out of the box.

The badge usually is either dark or light blue. Dark blue means everything is working and that it is now waiting for censored people to access it. Light blue means that someone is using it in this moment. Other colors are grey and black. In that case an error occured, which might be fixed by restarting your browser-

Oh and if you worry about running this in your browser: It is just an entry point. You won't be requesting any websites, but only allow people access to servers who do so.

All these FF addons are great. Here's some more that haven't been mentioned yet:

    FireGloves
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...on/firegloves/
This is great for protecting your browser against fingerprinting-based tracking. Useful for everyone especially those who need the extra layer of privacy e.g. those who browse through TOR.

You can check how unique your browser is at https://panopticlick.eff.org/

    Perspectives
    https://addons.mozilla.org/En-us/fir.../perspectives/
This is one of my favorite addons. It helps in identifying potential MITM attacks and seeing when sites actually update their SSL certificates and verifying that you aren't the only one receiving a specific certificate.

Here's a couple more you can't get from the mozilla addons website:

    HTTPS Everywhere
    https://www.eff.org/https-everywhere
HTTPS Everywhere is a Firefox and Chrome extension that encrypts your communications with many major websites, making your browsing more secure. Essential for all browsers.

    HTTPS Finder
    https://addons.mozilla.org/En-us/fir.../https-finder/
This goes hand-in-hand with the above addon. HTTPS Finder automatically detects and enforces HTTPS connections when available.

    Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
    https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
Now you can opt-out of Google Analytics with this addon. The add-on instructs the Google Analytics JavaScript not to send any information about the website visit to Google Analytics. It's just great.

If you click on the arrow icon and then "Show All Downloads", the download list appears and remains open... or are you talking about something else?
