Thread: Best sport for exercise

  1. #16
besides swimming which is of course probably the best sport for exercise , playing Football for a couple of hours is pretty good exercise for the calf muscles and thighs . Tho it could get pretty strenuous and tiring unless played regularly and becomes a habit .

I prefer going to the gym. It's hard the first week but after that you will love not only the fact that you will feel healthy, but you will also look good in a couple of months which will help you a lot.

Running is good. Also a fast paced walk is good if you are lazy

Too much running is not good. Running outside on asphalt concrete gives even more pressure to your feet.

Can't really beat soccer/football, unless you're trying to build lung capacity, then swimming is a good way to go.

Definately swimming! I run 6 miles every other day and yet I find I'm tired of swimming after a maybe 100 feet or so. Not sure how people do it...

I'm biased and say running. Other than that circuit training is an excellent all-rounder. I have to pay extra in my gym membership for swimming so I stick to circuit training haha

There are number of sports for this purpose. In my point of view, swimming, cycling and football are most important for this purpose.
