    WiFi connection?

    Hey guys! I just bought a new cell phone, Samsung Galaxy S2. I want to connect it with WiFi. My question is. How do I know if my modem supports it? I have a poor 1mbps (EMX) connection. I doubt it supports it, but what about my sisters laptop. She uses internet with USB modem. I see she has a wireless support, but I can't get it to work!

    ah welcome to the android club... first off android doesn't recognize adhoc connections...

    Just use connectify... Your latop supports these wifi things, you just gotta make the right settings...

    I downloaded the software, but not sure if the settings are right.

    EDIT: So here are my settings:
    Hotspot Name-->Connectifity-me
    Password-->i picked one
    Internet-->Automatic

    Under Advanced options:
    Wi-Fi-->Wireless connection
    Security mode-->Access Point, WPA2-PSK

    At first it connected for a minute or two and then it droped. Now I can't connect!

    Didn't work!

    Anyone knows why there's always red x next to first connection? Is it disabled or something?

    Yeah I used connectify some time back and it works. The problem with the current version is it doesn't support some features previously in the old version. Try getting the version 2 though your xbox 360 wont connect properly then. Here I uploaded the old version for you here ConnectifyInstaller.exe

    I wonder why ps3 connections are still not supported even in the new version.
