Waiting for new IP - can anything be done?

I'm getting that message from a host I don't have a premium account with - fair enough but it waits upwards of 45 minutes between parts.

Can I do anything about that?

    Thanks - rev

How would I know if it's dynamic and what would I change it to?

    Would it affect anything else?

Those questions have a variety of answers. It suffices to say you should look for a reconnect script for router and see if that works, though.

    Would it affect anything else?
Reconnecting disrupts any other ongoing transfers your computer may be doing.

Right-click > Reset seems to work.

That restarts a download from scratch. Not a good idea if we're talking about a partial file.

Yeah, I spoke too soon, found that out - doesn't do anything for a new IP either.

The answer for me is to keep looking for links hosted by one of my premium accounts.
