0 day Top Site ?

Well I am just going to apply for an uploader application at one High level tracker, but when I read the minimum requirement for become an uploader there is one condition mention as below

" You must have own 0-day top site access !"

so just want to know what is 0 day top site ? How to join there ?

well top site basically is some ftp server with high-speeds used by release groups for distribution
but to join you have to know someone

in old days i remember i was trying to be an encoder from some groups but was very hard to join and is past because of my low connection i couldn't join =/
i guess there is some way to join by pay

You're not wrong, but newsgroups per se have nothing to do with topsites.

seriously, it's something you won't obtain any time soon.
you have to know someone who knows someone who knows other someones.

if the amount of work is daunting, then getting involved isn't for you - it's a type of 'work', but it's done for the fun & challenge of it rather than anything else.

there has been numerous past incidents of sysops selling access to people outside of the scene, but time and time again this seems to end in tears - sometimes for all concerned.

what torrent site are you applying to? depending on what it is, even if you did get topsite access somehow, you'd lose access if a sysop caught you supplying a tracker (most of the time).

That's why I wouldn't bother myself... of course, if you have the required energy and determination, by all means go for it!

The "real" Scene disapproves of such practices, however, which is understandable.

this brings a great and interesting point here
i guess everybody that is related to tracker and internet and know about scene one day wants to be part of it...
i'm talking by experience because i was one of those... but honestly i don't see any advantage specially TODAY

u can see some trackers that is so poor like demonoid with some great content depends what u are looking for
for example today i have access in some material that i can get first even than scene like DVD and BLUERAY
and i upload it or give to friends upload

some "simple users" now have their contacts and can get stuff earlier than scene today i see a news about a guy who gets MORTAL KOMBAT before they release officially and was a "simple guy in brazil"
OF COURSE things like programs and crack stuff probably will never come from a simple user but the rest u can have great content and be part of it

and in trackers only scene for example end up loosing things that simple users can post before scene
of course if is the desire of someone to join the scene there is nothing wrong with that... but i talk about all this because what i want to say is IF U REALLY want to upload something and SHARE with a COMMUNITY doesn't matter if you part of the scene choose a place to call home and go for it... i guarantee one thing... u will make many people that don't even know "the scene" HAPPY

Top site axx shouldn't be a requirement to be uploader on a site, that is dumb, if they have axx to some kind of FTP they should just FXP you some shit and judge you based purely on your current ratio/profile age/bandwidth... top site axx sounds like they are desperate for fast pre's and imo, it isnt worth giving a tracker axx just to be an uploader there.

Eh. Personally it sounds like the purveyors of said website probably have connections to several topsites. So if you display enough pinache and awesomeness, you may get invited.

I think it's just a fancy way of saying, "don't try to get upgraded to this user class, we'll ask you".
