the scripts doesn't care about the version number, it only cares for original version behavior vs yours version behavior.

Doesn't have any error messsage. Serenity work as normal utorrent.
It looks like serenity ignores all cheat profiles and works in vanilla mode. And it doesn't matter in which label i add torrent.

    PS.
After some research and restartings It's start working. Don't know what happened.
    Thanks for reply.
    Thanks

It's nice to know that uS is working for you, I just asked because as far as I know nothing could stop uS from working -according to how uS works- but a huge change (really huge one) to the operating system.
    Thanks

Hi Owyn, long time fan and user of uSerenity build 24402.

I have a small problem with how much RAM uSerenity takes up. Not sure if it's connected, but just around 2-3 months ago I went from sharing around 100-130 torrents (average size per torrent ~1,5GB) to sharing just 60-70 torrents (average size per torrent 10-15GB as those are packs mainly) because I've upgraded to a 2TB drive and could let more space to be taken by torrents for sharing. I have 8GB of RAM on my system and for over last few years I was using such caching settings, but recently I have noticed how almost 50% of my RAM (which is 4GB~) was being evaporated by some program. I've checked Task Manager but no program was eating over 400MB per time (mainly just browser, uSerenity, Skype and other small-time programs), BUT I've noticed that whenever I close uSerenity my RAM usage suddenly drops from like 95% to almost 40-60%. So I did try and use new caching settings for a couple of days now but it doesn't seem to help the situation (uSerenity does eat up to 600MB RAM in Task Manager, but the mysterious high RAM usage is still there by "unkown" program).
So my question is if there's anything I could do to prevent this high RAM usage or at least control it somehow? Main issue is that I have to keep restarting uSerenity every 1-2 days if I want to have some RAM available for games (otherwise random running programs start crashing). Also, what is to blame here? My uSerenity settings? Type of torrents I seed? Anything else?

    Thank you :)

If you have encryption turned on, that feature just eats up ram.

Are you using a paging file? If not, create one of system managed size, reboot, and see if this persists.

    Thanks for replies guys.

Sazzy: My Protocol Encryption, Outgoing: is Forced. It has been like that for over last 4 years now but only recently have these RAM issues started.

anon: I had 1-1.2 GB paging file set up on my main OS SSD drive since I bought it 3+ years ago. Although I'm not sure if I had a paging file set up on the secondary large HDD that I use for torrets, because right now there's no paging file set up for it. You think it might help?
    Thanks

I don't think the problem lies there then, although it may still be worth a try.

I thought you may be using no paging file at all, which can cause that "ghost" memory usage due to how Windows memory management works.

The weird thing is mostly that he now suddenly has this issue after running it for 4 years straight. Obviously the setup hasn't changed, so why is it bugging out for him now?

The only things that have recently changed is I upgraded my internet from 10/2Mbit to 100/12Mbit and bought a higher capacity secondary storage HDD (upgrade from 750GB Samsung to a 2TB WD Green). Everything is the same such as Windows, uTorrent settings etc.

I've actually found people who had the exact same problem just like me but no fix was found for it at the end (read this post, basically exact same symptoms reported by a few people there). Seems to me this is connected also to the fact that I've moved from seeding small torrents to packs mainly, well that's just my hunch.

After I restart uSerenity I have about 1-2 days before my RAM usage reaches 99-100% again before I need a new restart (even when I only seed). Definitely not a uSerenity issue I guess.

    10/2 cost 8 EUR.
100/12 costs me 13 EUR (well 11,6 with the loyal client discount), it's cable and overall internet is pretty cheap in my country.
    Thanks

It may be worthwhile to disable a few of those torrents at a time, and see if the problem persists. If it's a single one causing it (as opposed to e.g. some sort of small memory leak that gets huge when you run many), you'd eventually find out which.

PS: 6/0.7 for $30/mo. here, with the "give me a discount or I'll cancel my subscription" discount. Minimum wage is $400 for reference. Still better than in the videogame BS Hacker where you're charged $10 per minute, though
