i'm not too optimistic about that movie.
it's not so much of a problem that this is the directors first english language film, but the budget is very low and also he didn't get any decent actors.

    does it matter?
there are numerous undocumented (or more correctly secret) missions done by the so-called nasa, they even went so far as to fake some/many/all moon landings, so why should this material be any different

think the material would just be lying around for some filmmakers to get ahold of it, or simply leak without anyone bothering to prevent it? think again

I do believe that NASA is not a civilian agency as it has everyone believe but is in fact an agency of the US's Defense Department.

    (i) The Administration shall be considered a defense agency of the United States for the purpose of chapter 17 of title 35 of the United States Code.
Here's the official NASA link for that, too:
Do a 'match case' search/find for the term 'defense agency' and you should be brought to
    PROPERTY RIGHTS IN INVENTIONS
    Section 305 (i)

Isn't it in the best interests of any defense department, regardless of country origin to be secretive in some matters??
I'm pretty sure that it is.

    Secret missions??
I wouldn't put it past 'em either.
    "God, from the mount Sinai
    whose grey top shall tremble,
    He descending, will Himself,
in thunder, lightning, and loud trumpet’s sound,
    ordain them laws".
