    Bittorrent, using ip filter with private trackers

    I am after everyones opinion wether to use an ip filter with private trackers? And is it ok to use emule ip filter with torrents or is there a special ip filter for torrents? Have been using ip filter for years.Just my torrent downloads are faster with ipfilter disabled.

    Do it. It's greatly recommended, specially if you live in a country not so relaxed about downloading.

    The ipfilter file you're using is too aggressive, then. Switch to a different one. uIpFilterX is my recommendation.

    Just get it from the link I posted on the other thread, no need to pay anything (and you shouldn't be paying for an IP filter anyway).

    BTW, for emule I use this http://sites.google.com/site/ircemul...2/ipfilter.zip, dont know if its better or not (at least more updated since uipFilter doesnt get an update since june).

    PeerBlock is a programm feed with lists found on iblocklist.com. These lists (Level 1, Level 2, Primary Threats etc etc) are not specifically built for eMule, Bittorrent or Shrareaza.
