Having issues to get my speedtouch 585 v7 to change it's dynamic ip adress.

I have tried restarting the router, resetting it to default settings and unplugging it from the extension cord (with the broadband cable still plugged into the phone line wall socket) for 4 hours plus and my ip address refuses to change. I am on a mac so the mac address spoofing guide won't work for me.

By the way just because the guide doesn't cover Mac OS doesn't mean it's the end of the world.
