That's one hateful linux user then, as even I know there's a similar folder to "my computer" on linux :/ (eg the home folder or something?)
Rather than being supportive, said user is making it more difficult for the windows user to migrate

In all honesty, I believe that Windows, OS X and general linux distros are all looking more and more like eachother every day.

Agreed, but that goes both ways ;o) Both Apple as linux distros implement stuff that MS or either one has "invented"
Also, "stole" is such a bad word... Let's call it inspiration instead.

sure, however especially vista and win7 labeled some major 'inventions' as exclusive new feature

What do you guys think? Will the Russians build their own independent distro? Or use something based on gentoo or something because I heard Russians have a pretty good taste when it comes to software.

That's just marketting ^^ we all know marketting is full of lies, even for honest companies.

I certainly hope not.If they do something new then we'll have a lot more to choose from.Hell they can even make their own desktop environment, that would be epic.

Doing new things costs A LOT of money. With the crisis still not fully over, I'm not sure that's the way they will prefer to take at this time. Plus it would have to be made soon, making it even more expensive.

    Customizing, maybe. New, no.

of course but the other parties in this case didn't go that far so they stood out in a negative way
