Lightbulb Hotmail adds full-session SSL for more secure webmail

Many sites log you in via an SSL-encrypted connection but then immediately redirect you to an insecure page -- which could expose users to unnecessary risk. If you're a Hotmail user, however, LiveSide has spotted an update to your webmail service that will help keep your data safe: full-session SSL. Microsoft had announced in June that full-session SSL support would be coming, and now any user can opt-in to the feature by visiting https://www.hotmail.com and clicking the button shown above.

Was about time? GMail has had full SSL access for as long as I can remember (it wasn't always turned on by default, however).

yes. that's right. Gmail has had it since conception. I think that it's about time that Yahoo finally got on the SSL bandwagon.
Most ISP webmail already have https and I can't think of any reason why Yahoo took so long to finally get to this stage.
    Good for Yahoo, nevertheless.

    I don't personally use Yahoo, I guess I'm more of a Gmail-type-of-guy, y'know.
I think the only time I would use Yahoo is for spam email that I figure I'm gonna need for some other time in the future to revert back to for what-ever reason.

So much stuff I like about Gmail, like for instance the ability to log in to your other Gmail accounts directly from within your current session of Gmail.

Then the fact that you can customize your view of your Gmail account. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Yahoo allows for that ( I don't know as I hardly use Yahoo Mail)....at least not yet, I would think. Again, correct me if I'm wrong here. :)
