    Hall Pass

    Release Date: February 25, 2011
    Studio: New Line Cinema (Warner Bros.)
    Director: Bobby Farrelly, Peter Farrelly
    Screenwriter: Bobby Farrelly, Peter Farrelly, Kevin Barnett
    Starring: Owen Wilson, Jason Sudeikis, Jenna Fischer, Richard Jenkins, Christina Applegate, Alexandra Daddario, Stephen Merchant, Nicky Whelan, Derek Waters, Alyssa Milano, Vanessa Angel, Kristin Carey
    Genre: Comedy
    Rick (Owen Wilson) and Fred (Jason Sudeikis) are best friends who have a lot in common, including the fact that they have each been married for many years. But when the two men begin to show signs of restlessness at home, their wives (Jenna Fischer, Christina Applegate) take a bold approach to revitalizing their individual marriages: granting them a "hall pass," one week of freedom to do whatever they want...no questions asked. At first, it sounds like a dream come true for Rick and Fred. But it isn't long before they discover that their expectations of the single life-and themselves-are completely, and hilariously, out of sync with reality.

    hints of controlled society, even for trivialities:

A student wishing to leave school for an off-site activity may also require a hall pass.

    Most hall passes usually include the following information:

    * Student name
    * Room number
    * Name of issuing teacher
    * Date and time
    * Destination
    * Teacher's signature
    now look at the movie interpretation (to do whatever they want, without consequences) - the hollywood prescription (even depicted by the wings of caduceus on the 'pass' logo), also they claim that if the concept fails (for their group, meaning in the movie) its lost for the whole mankind (filmmaker delusions of grandeur, goals to 'create' culture through on-screen examples/education/influencing)

    notice one of the actors lying on the sand, making the 'angel wings' with his hands while having a happy face, symbolizing freedom from shackles of marriage - also, what do these men do after been given the 'pass'? they go wild, as if let loose off the leash/chains - this creates a certain association towards marriage/strong relationships in the unsuspecting viewer's mind, obviously not a favorable one (the same could be said for the association towards women/partners)

    now ask yourself whether people would be able to have fun without these ridiculous 'passes', just by talking to each other, coming to an agreement concerning their free time and occasional events unaccompanied by their spouse/partner?
    in addition, combined with external influences, life is what you make of it, the same goes for marriage/relationship as well
